Does anyone know where or if it is possible to get the complete work or what ever is left of Diodorus Siculus's Histories? I am looking for a book but a website would also be a lot of help. Thanks.

You can buy them in sets of books by the Loeb Classical Library, but thats 21 bucks for maybe 1/5th of the total set(making the entire set well over 100). I've been looking for a good copy of them for a while, but they are all very rare and expensive. Diodorus has not been picked up by Penguin either, making him very hard to find. Your best bet is the internet. There are a number of websites that carry him. This is the most complete translation I could find. 19th ce. english translation. books.google.com/books?id=agd-eLVNRMMC&printsec=titlepage#PPR5,M1 If you can read Greek you might be able to find some also in Perseus perhaps.

Neither. Although my view of Greeks, in general, is not particularly favorable. I am, however, a Classical Studies major...
Just a message an Alb gave to a Greek minority member, I thought it fitting.

Since you said many times that your dads friend is Greek.... and you even visited Greece on your last vacation, it safe to assume that your yet to develop mind..... has been influenced by people on the interent ...... Yes I understand your into history.. and Classical studies... but your intelligence beyond that is nothing to brag about...

"As long as you want to be united with Greece, you are to suffer from the Albanians. . . ." Melty is worried that many of the albo immigrants will be assimilated here in Greece, that's all kids...

Heh. Not really. The quote is just to illustrate how Albs will protect their lands. Albs who assimilate are Albs who dont wish to be part of Albania anymore. They will eventually speak exclusively Greek, marry Greeks and become so. The Albs who dont want to be part of this will leave and resettle in Albania.
Its a message to the Greek minority of Albania: they have to learn to breath the right way, and think in terms of being a good little -- insignificant -- piece of Albania or they will get whats coming to them. Chams surround them and I bet that they would love to have their revenge.
