Yeah, for some reason Greeks and Albanians as immigrants seem to gravitate towards each other. I know a lot of Albanians. They used to hang out at our Kefaneio but now they opened their own. We don't see much of them anymore.

Well... Its an ethnic neighborhood. A large influx of Greeks came in to the neighborhood in the last 30 years, and now it is the Albanian turn. The Greeks have kefaneios and pizza shops. The Albanians are following in the exact same footsteps as the Greeks before them. Although I do not find the older Albanians to be as hard working as the older Greeks. The young ones of both ethnic groups though are a bunch of idiots. No goals or aspirations. They stay out all night, wake up at 2:00 in the afternoon go straight to the Kefaneio smoke cigarettes and drink frappe and then go to work at the pizza shop. I go every once in a while and I am accustomed to seeing the same people every time I go. Lots of gambling and various other nonsense involves itself in that place. But hey, where else can I buy a 2.00 Frappe?

I am not saying they don't work hard, but they do not seem to be as wise as the Greeks with their money. However, they are a relatively new immigrant group and it is still early to tell. Mostly Greeks and Jews own all the shops and real estate, and it is usually the Albos many times that work for them. ESPECIALLY IN THE PIZZA SHOPS. It will be interesting to see how many ALBOS own pizza shops in 10 years. I hope they do well.

Well for the current day they are making pizza's with the Mexicans. Nothing wrong with that. The Greeks came into the states and were washing dishes, painters and cooks. Soon who will lead the Balkan peninsula? The Poustagians?

The difference is that Albs leave those occupations and move up within a few months or a year of starting there. Mexicans stay the long stretch.

Dishwasher to Dish dryer. Painter to paint mixer. That's not right. I am just playing. You just set yourself up on that one. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Your right, I think the Albs will be able to be successful where they migrate if they stay away from crime and adopting black wigger culture.

Or guido culture... which is quite common among both Greeks and Albs.

Yeah, Toskali I agree with you. I am 26 and around my age group a lot of Albs and Greeks somehow pick up a New York City guido accent. I dont know how it happens. Its like cultural osmosis. Anyways a lot of the young Greeks and Albs where I live are getting into to drugs very heavily. They are also very much into the rap scene.

One of my closest friends was a Greek-originated kid who was extremely bright up to the high school years. He wasnt a guido but he got into one drug after another and now he ended up dropping everything he was doing and just entered into a trade. I mean there is nothing wrong with that really and many of the Albs, Greeks and Italians I know are doing that, but this kid had potential.

Too many parents spoil their kids today. I know this one guy who was working as a pizza delivery boy. He then went to an auto shop so he could learn a trade. He didn't want to keep the job. His father told him if you keep the job I will pay you like 250 dollars a week on top of your regular pay to keep the job. Where is right at this moment? I bet you he is sitting in the Kefaneio drinking frappe and smoking cigarettes talking about what losers other people are. LOL. What an idiot.
