Vorio Epiriot or South Albania?
The term Vorio Epiriot used today...should the term exist?

Obviously not... there is no such division that exists in Albania today, there are various administrative breakdowns, but none of which designate a specific part of south Albania as separate from the rest. There are no autonomous regions, nothing that says this is different from the rest of Albania. Officially(both in Albania itself and internationally), its simply the southern portion of Albania.
The best thing for Albania to do is just ignore the issue and stop paying any attention to it. Time is completely on our side.

Of course it should since Epirus is a way older name than Albania. South Albania consists of the northern part of historical Epirus, learn to live with it if you like it or not.
Its a little bit ironic because we dont want the fyromians to call themselves makedonians and regarding the albanians we want them to use the term Epirus. ;D

I couldnt care less what it was called in the past. If you look at a map of Albania today you wont see any Epirus, that begins in Greece. Historically that region has been Epirus, but a lot of things were "historically" and arnt so today. Greece may want a lot of things, but more then likely, will lose all those requests in the end... whether its in Macedonia or Albania.

The word Epirus has existed for thousands of years now....this name outlived dozen of occupiers...I doubt the mingy albos will change anything. In this sense hail Ipiros.

This topic is pointless, we all know what each side will say.
Lol, dont worry, we have thrown off the occupiers: Greeks. We will continue to throw them off until our lands are pure as crystals.

The term Epirus or Ipiros in greek means continent. The greeks of Corfu used to call that part of the world this way because the were islander themselves. So, we are not talking here about a place name, but about a generic name, as we can classify the name continent. Even today in greek language they use the term for the continents, but strange enough when it comes to South Albania they still use this name, which as I tried to explain it doesn't make any sense.
Today the place is called South Albania, which of course it makes sense since is part of Albania, and that's the way it should be called. I know greeks don't like it, but before they come up with this kind of logic, why they don't start claiming Napoli (Neapoli), Europe, Odesa, Alexandria since this names are real place names, and of course are of greek origin thanks to the ancient greeks...if they manange to get this places, we gladly will call South Albania Vorios Ipiros. If they think about getting it back, since they think the place is greek, they should work harder on it...

Did you guys know that Dyrachium was a Greek colony since antiquity? Also did you guys know during the Middle Ages it had a large Greek population? This is rightfully Hellenic land. The Balkans only spoke Greek and Latin before the Slavic, Albanian and Turkic (Bulgar and Ottoman) invasions.

You people live in your historical mind. Its this frame of mind that has allowed serbs and greeks to excuse ethnic cleansing...
