Were there Albos in Dyrrachion that period? Does it matter? He was born in Durrës, so it has nothing to do with us per se but because of his birthplace Durrës. So their is nothing wrong to raise a statue of the Emperor.

Albanian troops were used extensively as troops in the army of Dusan and only one of the Albanian feudal lords, the Musachi I believe, put up any resistance against his takeover. The Emperor in Constantinople gave him a medal for it. The rest not only took the Serb occupation with passiveness, many contributed troops to it. Dusan was particularly kind to many of these troops and stationed them in various parts of Macedonia, many times as guard.
On the whole, exempting a few, most Albanians were very willing to against the Byzantines and seemed rather antagonistic to it. Even if all of the lords used Byzantine emblems (double-headed eagle is preent among all of them). For the Catholics of that time, neither the Byzantines nor the Slavs were preferable nor helpful and most sought assistance from the Pope and demanded a Catholic leader from Italy.
