TODAY it seems to me providential that Fate should have chosen Morina as my birthplace. For this little town lies on the boundary between two Albanian states which we of the younger generation at least have made it our life work to reunite by every means at our disposal.
Albanian Kosovo must return to the great Albanian mother country, and not because of any economic considerations. No, and again no: even if such a union were unimportant from an economic point of view; yes, even if it were harmful, it must nevertheless take place.

Yes, reunification would be the best word to describe the possible event which will reunite Albanian provinces and territories with Albania. We Albanians all hope to live to see that day.

But your constitution says no. Yes, we also said we won't declare independence without the consent of the major powers who warned us not to, guess what, WE DID!

So you're willing to go against your constitution, which was made for a country which you broken a promise to create?
The line has to be drawn somewhere

It would be dumb for these countries to unite. Having two Albanian states in the Balkans gives you more leverage when it comes to politics. Sort of like Greece and Cyprus. But hey go ahead and unite.

There will be no unification. As well as there being many pro unification, we have to remember that a lot of people are against it.

I agree with Pejoni , borders are open. Every eveniment that happens in Albania must have kosovans or albanians of Macedonia or even Montenegro on it. Concerts, lots of political meetings, Top Fest, Big Brother ( Albania) have their candidates . Many kosovars and albs from Macedonia are having one house in Kosova/Macedonia and one in Albania, lots of sportsmen/woman are in Albanian national team with dual citizenship. And the list never end. Anytime we need each other, we are there. We are already unified in lots and in a very wide sence .

When the durres-prishtine highway finishes next year, we will see a whole new level of cultural and economical unification. And the same between ilirida and albania when they build 'corridor 8' (I think this will have a highway and a railway).
There is no point of rushing with political unification if it is not in our interest (no point deteriorating relations with the EU and US). Although one never knows what happens in the distant future, in a few decades... A time might come when the will of the people (of albania and kosova) will be more important - to EU/US/UN - than a piece of paper signed this year.
;D
