you non Albanian never seen or touched a plis hat ...its on the thick side .. my a$$umption is that we wore these hats as padding under warrior helmets ...and then when these warriors were retired from duty they wore only the cap as civilians to show and bloat proudly their past warriorism .....and as a sign of respect from others .... this hat is worn today by Albanians ...mostly the Dardanians(kosovars) and then us in Macedonia and in sections of Albania. and in my honest opinion .... Greeks of today do not wear em or have worn em in many many hundreds and maybe even 1500 years bcs they have no recollection of it bcs they are not in the times of any warriors of the ancient balkans ......sorry to break the news this way
The Romans used our hat as a symbol of a free people (Illyrian) or lLiberty/freedom gained the plis in right hand

Just amazing ! maybe the Albs are very old peoples ? Take Tyrannosaurus Rex yrannosaurus rex (' rex' meaning 'king'), commonly abbreviated to T. rex, is a fixture in popular culture around the world. A coincidence ? ;D

yes it is amazing ....
Rex = king of kings / its not originally latin ..its actually the Pelasgian-Etruscan in Latin
in original old Pelasgian its Rexh or Rexho ... the xh= J sound or maybe easier for you to pronounce the way the slavs do ....
....Redz...Redzo
;D
