Those are the opinions of SOME Albanians, not the actual Albanian state. Most Albanians dont believe in the Pelasgian theory, I dont think its likely and you cant really prove it. This whole Pelsagian theory mostly only started with the Arvanite Aristidh Kola, who clearly had identity issues, he was trying to figure out the answer to "How can I be Albanian and Greek at the same time", so he made that all up. I'm glad that you say that. Actually Kollias was just the ridiculous expression of what started back in 19th century by some Greek scholars who wanted a pro-Greek Albania... I dont understand what you're trying to say about Kastrioti. I admire Kastrioti's history, but I think Albos don't really understand what they've done after is death, I mean during the Ottoman yoke. As for Arvanites, all we are doing is stating the fact that they are w/o a doubt of Albanian origin, but today have a Greek conscious and have mixed with Greeks. I would say that Greeks and especially Arvanites themselves are the ones who have romantic ideas more so than Albanians. Many of you try and claim that they were really "Vorio Epirots", not Albanians, but for some odd reason, they still kept the Albanian language for over 500 years. At the time of the Greek Revolution, most were monolingual and only spoke Albanian, how are you going to tell us that they had a Greek conscious back then when they didn't even speak the language. Nonetheless, the Arvanite issue is dead, we mostly bring them up to remind you to think twice before you talk down on us Albanians "savages", because some of you may very well have Albanian origins and you can thank Albanians to a large extent for your independence, thats all. Firstly I think that most Arvanites and most of the rest Greeks know about the origins of Arvanites and their relation with Albanians. Secondly Arvanites during the Revolution were bilinguals in the most part. Albanians has nothing to do with the Revolution, unless if you mean who we really fought... There is a site in Greek that has plenty of information about this questions "extent of Arvanitic population" and "role in the Revolution" but it is in Greek. I think and via babel fish you can learn a lot. kleftouria.blogspot.com/As for Albanians relations during the Ottoman times, some Albanians were pro-Ottoman, but most were, without a doubt, anti-Ottoman. Some Greeks also worked for the Ottoman Empire, should we call you guys Turkgreeks because of that? If your going to bring up the conversion thing, how about all those Greek Muslims, what happend to them? If you really think we are so in love with Turks, then how come Albanians get offended when they are referred to as Turkalbanians? If Albanians are such Islamic extremists, then why dont they demand the opening of Mosques in Athens like the Paki immigrants do? Its not something subjective. Facts tell about how Albos participated in the Ottoman struggle to subdue Balkanians and especially Greeks. The islamisation back then was equal to ottomanisation, not linguistically but politically and you must admit that during Ottoman era despite some nativistic acts the majority of Albos were one and the same with the Ottomans against any giaour. Those Greeks who islamised are good Turks now...they gave their pride because of some benefits but for me and all the Greeks they lost their Hellenicity, not because they became muslims but because they did it under the Ottoman circumstances... As for the German/Italian subject, why would Albanians fight them if they sympathized with them...Ask yourself these questions before you make assumptions. ... ... We like Italians too, una faccia ,una razza... but when it comes to national integrity and pride things change...I don't wait you to understand...

Not really, I dont rely on internet knowledge. Usually I use the internet to find books on a certain period where available. Or I use google books. And being a Turkofil is not a sign that I read internet history... I can give you a list of good books if you want to actually attain some knowledge...
And I can speak Alb, and I read Albo books as well... although there is not a single Albanian language book that has dealt with Albanian history in any proper way without relying on bias or Hoxha era propaganda regarding Alb history... maybe excepting a few noted ones like Stavri Naci. Hell often I have found Greek or Turkish historians to be more suitable for certain parts of Alb history then Albos themselves, who twist and turn an even to their nationalist view... current Albo scholarship is about as worthy as chit... with exception of few, most of whom dont even write in Albanian today. Stavro Skendi, Athanase Gegaj... neither wrote any significantly in Alb... This has changed to an extent recently though. And Moraitis is right, all you people have the most twisted view of Albo history. For godsakes you though the League of Prizren was an independence movement. Idiocy...

Whoever uses the word "Grek" or "Greek" or whatever else that describes us...as derogative term...has to have a serious mental damage. The word "Greek" in general does have a very positive reputation...in the whole world.
Derogative terms are Turk, Albanian...and that makes also sense.
