Freedom to Northern Epirus !!The Northern Epirotes,Epirotes and other Greeks will send a united message to the Albanian and the Greek Government. All the Northern Epirotes on Monday 27 April 07.00 pm hours in front of the Albanian embassy in Athens protest against the illegal condemnation of the Mayor of OMONIAS of Chimara Basil Bollanos by the court of Vlore. Almost 20 years after the fall of the totalitarian system in Albania, the Albanian regime continue the same practice against the Greeks with a decision aimed at extermination policy and serve the interests dark subtract from the mayor Chimaras political rights without any real cause and trying to terrorize the Greeks. Northern Epirus We had to stand once again to rise to the occasion and defend our dignity. The risk now is great and we can not stick with his hands crossed. First Act is the reaction of protest. The Northern Epirus united will send the message to Albanian regime. We wil fought for our Human and religios right of Northern Epirus. UNION CHEIMARRIOTON

A fully rightful cause.... Lets unite the two Hpeiroi into one.... yeah, besides the name of the square in Athens where most albanian boys sell their asses, it also means "UNITY"-"COMPASSION" as well.

I love the Epirus region myself..seen it once and was impressed with the sheer beauty of the area. I think we should encourage Greeks in N. Epirus to remain there and have many many kids like Albanians do. Until then though...our position is getting weaker if Greek kids come to Greece to live and work.
We should of never pulled out of the area when we kicked the italians out. We should of acted like Turkey in that case...
but we didnt, and now we have this N. Epirus Issue that was never fully implemented and Greeks leaving...its quite sad actually.

i think your post will be erased again... in the meantime, why do you think that, taking into account that no albs live in southern-northern epirus (any more)? Well, historically, I mean: Epirus should have been Albanian. Now that Greeks have colonized the area, the southern part should remain Greek because there is no other way. But in the past, southern Epirus was inhabited by Illyrians and later, Albanians who now call themselves Arvanites. Historically Greeks had Constantinople & Mikra Asia, and Southern Italy, and Cicily and Marseil in France, and Emporio in Spain,... We could trade all that for some alb-majority places in Northern Epirus, i think... Would support the greek JUST cause in this case?

I support that. Dorians came from Hungary and Romania.. OOPS!!

I dont support change of boundaries. Its so 19 century. If change is necessary I support it under the following condition: 1. the area should belong to the nationality, that is the vast majority in the area; 2. if the area has both nationalities in around the same precentage: it should be split acording to the precentage and exchange of populace should be made.

Ioan, you dont have to worry. The western aggression is no longer interested in the balkans (for the moment), so of course there will be no change of boundaries. However, Nothern epirots deserve their greek schools and church. I would say autonomy would be best.

As a simple citizen I believe that minority-status is ok and enough. Greeks in Albania are not that many after all, most of them live in Greece today.

I would say autonomy would be best. they have Greek schools and churches, (the few who are left) stop tryng to start trouble Pyrrosevich. but I think you are correct when you say there wont be change of bounderies---at least between Greece and Albania ... btw Albanian-Greek relations are now described as "excellent" LOL does that make you angry Pyrrosevich ?
