It means something similar in Romanian also I believe. Albs and Romanians share the word "bukurija".

It means something similar in Romanian also I believe. Albs and Romanians share the word "bukurija". In Romanian, "bucuria" (pronounced the same as "bukurija") means "happyness" The word for beautifull is "frumos" from the lat. word "formosus". Romanians and Albanians share a lot of words and on the old forum there was a list I made. Words like brad, copac, caciula (kesule), copil, etc. Most of these words were identified by B.P. Hasdeu, an encyclopedist, and by our national poet Mihai Eminescu, who learnt Albanian for this purpose.

The explantion of this language affinity could be that the Albanians absorbed many Romanian words during the assimilation process of Vlach people.
