Since this was deleted at the Greek forum, I think we can post it here. A lot of people argue if Epirotes r Albanian or Greek...can they be a different ethnicity altogether?
Listen to this song, how many Albanians and Greeks can trasnlate what he's singing? (And dont just look under the video either translate the whole thing if you're brave ;D
(KANARIS DO NOT DELETE THIS OK? LOL)

"Epirotes" is a grecizised toponim. In fact that greek name is not the whole truth.. The truth, as always, just pops up someday.

he doesn't say bo bo
anyway...i think i just proved my point, no one gets what he's saying, so it's stupid to say what Epirotes really are, cause you can't undersatnd what he's saying unless u were raised around those areas...
translation:
Hajde dallendyshe vogel o dale mor dale Hajde dallendyshe vogel o dale me ngadale
Ore princesha nga shoqet o dale mor dale, Hajde princesha nga shoqet o dale me ngadale

It's the style he is singing... if you write it down you will be able to understand it.... All of those songs, whether in Albo or Greek have the same style... The Cretans also use similar style.

No... Albanians are Albanians, and Greeks and Greeks, if they want to define by a regional name then they are Epirots if they want to be...
The idea that Albanians are Epirots is a Middle Age creation...

^^^ Every nation on the face of this earth is a creation at one point or another. What matters is the viability and importance of the culture. Am I not right?

Race is a social construction that was made up during the middle ages and was debunked in the 21 century...albanians greeks etc dont exist!

Exactly! The Albanians came later to Epirus, the Greeks are the ones that lived there when this region got its name. Now the music can even be of albanian origin...but that doesnt make the region itself more albanian.
