The Catholic Encyclopedia is usually very reliable when dealing with their religious rivals. You should look up the Spanish Inquisition in the Catholic Encyclopedia and see what they say.

Yea Catholic Encyclopedia is not an altogether reliable and its info altogether presented in an antiquated way. For instance in the topic on the city of Durres, it stated that 30% of the population was 'Greek, or Greek-Albanian'. This info was really of the Albanian Orthodox Christian population of the city.
