Hello, some time ago, an Albanian (I think) member of this forum posted scans of pages some western books talking about the population of Epirus in the XIX c. Unfortunately, I didn't bookmark his threads and nowadays I cannot find them! Would anybody know the references in question and/or have the scans?

There are many of those. A guy names Prussian a long while back posted a number of figures from various old encyclopedias, but I dont have access nor even know what those were...

Thank you! I also remembered that guy, Prussia. I will have to find his contact details from somewhere. It has been a while since he posted these scans.

Here we go with some interesting statistics about Epirus: Vilajet Janina: 180.000 Mahomedaansche Albaneezen10.000 Mahomedaansche Turken 180.000 Orthodoxe Wallachen110.000 Orthodoxe Albaneezen110.000 Orthodoxe Grieken 25.000 Katholieke Albaneezen20.000 Christen Bulgaren 7.000 Christen Zigeuners 6.000 Joden users.skynet.be/ovo/GodsdBalkan.htmlI think this statistic is more accurate than others, because most of other statistics confused religion with nationality as wrongly listed Orthodox Albanians and Vlachs as Greeks.
