illyria, i am sorry , but your reasoning is very silly.
croats not considering croatia part of the balkans has everything to do with not associating with serbs.
croatia is definately geographically part of the balkans. the only parts of croatia that can be questioned as not being part of the balkans is istra and panonia. the rest of croatia is definately part of the balkans. istra and pannonia are geographically in the buffer zone area between the balkans and central europe. that buffer zone area would stop at the drava river in the north, and in the west would be between the border regions of slovenia and croatia.
croats are also culturally balkan in the dinaric region area of croatia, stemming from lika, then through dalmatinska zagora, and then southern dalmatia. the characteristics of croats from this area is culturally balkan.
there is no doubt about that.

You are just contradicting yourself in the same line. Perhaps you need to rewrite what you say. "Some parts of Croatia in my opinion are a part of the Balkans", rather then what you said above.
I respect your opinion there even though I don't agree with it. My reason is not because of that.

p.s I sitll don't understand what is culturally Balkan, perhaps you can answer that for me. Are other countries in the west of Europe, culturally "western"? Because we are talking geographics here, not culture.

here is a map that explains everything what i'm saying in regards to what is geographically balkan,...... slovenia in its south and east border areas are in the balkan buffer zone, but since they dont have any land that is under the kupa, they are genrally not considered part of the balkans

Love the buffer zone. Zagreb and Osijek is in the "buffer" zone. Enough said.

So final conclusion: Serbia and Croatia are not in Balkans yet they made the biggest wars that Balkan peninsula is described with? Do you see the irony? Why should countries like Albania, Greece and Bulgari who have had relative peace be described with your backwardness?
I'm glad you cleared that up. Neither am I culturally or geographically Balkan, thank god for that clarification
Good because you are too ugly to be from Balkans anyway. LOL

Croats from Slavonija in Canada: "Aspire to be meat butchers, simple villagers just like their slavic hordes forefathes." Simple people who were slaves of roman empire and never questioned their status.
LMAO.
