Mig y are you such a commie? I'm not a communist. I just admire the man for having the ballsack to fuck with the biggest world powers and use them to his advantage whenever he wanted. Then give me Ante Pavelic Square Lobby for one. Nobody is stopping you.

Any man who says no to Stalin and lives deserves respect! Like Mig said, he may have been many things, good and bad but he was a great leader, a cult of personality, a force in the international community. Why change the name? We have places, and ships named after medieval kings and lords, who stood for oppression, serfdom, hardly examples of democratic values

It is the people's choice...so, idle wishes won't amount to much.

There was a plan for Tito's assasination which was only stopped due to Stalin's sudden death.

It is easy to dislike Yugoslavia today, but Tito was a world-renowned leader, the only person from the Balkans who can claim that. The fact that he was born in Croatia should be a source of some pride for Croats.

I'm very proud he sold many of his countrymen abroad including many die hard Yugos, of that I am very proud of; I would just love to know what he did with that money...

"I would just love to know what he did with that money..."
rebuild war damage, after all Yugo was flattened to the ground in WWII (made the wars in the 90s look like a skirmish), rebuild heavy industry and refining facilities that were too large for our countries needs, build up the JNA to one of the largest Armies in Europe, export Yugo goods to third world countries under market value at a loss to us as way to influence other governments, invest heavily into aerospace industry, which was quite large for a country as small as Yugoslavia and of course bureaucratic inefficiency drained some of it, and Titos islands Briuni and his Yacht...and his cigars ;D, so pretty much standard autocratic stuff

Neznam ako si primjetila mi u bosni imamo 4km autoputa? i to jedva prezivljava.. Ode kosovo siptarima.. SRBIJA DO TOKIJA..

Politicari su govna, drzave bezuspjesne i samouprave iskvarene. Umjesto da ljudi jednostavno biraju ime, ili drze kako jest, "neki" zele djelovati reakcionarno mastajuci o svojoj utopiji; komunjare, ustase, itd. Ocigledno nismo nista naucili, samo gledamo u proslost. Sto ce se desiti za 50 godina? Ljudi ce gledati Mesica u istom obicaju kao sto danas gledaju Titu. A trg, trg ce se zvati Sv. Sanader...

ma furali smo 50 god, do '91. A sada, da jos furamo jer nisu propravli sve kako treba da bude. It's ok, we'll work harder to get your freeways, thanks to the incompetence of tito's generation who are still alive and well in parliament. That will be my gift to the homeland :-)

^ Incompetence of Tito's generation? You're totally wrong. Tito's generation died when he did. Now all we have are some two-bit wannabe's and nationalist morons who would rather sell out their mothers than to do good to their people.

Post by Medimurje on Feb 3, 2009 0:49:55 GMT -5
But the thing is these nationalist morons learnt the ways from the people before them. They never learnt how to steal from the people etc.. over night.
And beleive me Tito's generation are not dead or died when he died. The anthem and flag and capital cities may have changed but alot of the old way are still in place.
Anyway this is all pointless. If there is a vote etc.. We the tax payers at home will vote for or against it. As simple as that.
