Slovenia to build artificial islands Author/source: SEEbiz
LJUBLJANA - Slovenia will build three artificial islands with area of around 9 hectares in an attempt to increase its coastline, Croatian Slobodna Dalmacija writes.
The project, worth EUR 217 million, will be implemented in the bay of Vilijan and will extend Slovenia's coastline by 11.8 km, which would be used for tourist purposes. The project implementation is supposed to last two years.
It is expected that the EU might join the financing of the project, covering up to one third of the expenses. www.seebiz.eu/en/corporate/slovenia-to-build-artificial-islands,53681.html
