I'm so bored... Anyway ;D...a lot of members here know what my name is - but I think it's only a couple of people who know that it's actually not the name my parents gave to me/the name on my birth certificate. I changed my name officially when I was almost 19... why? Was it Nazli or Sehrazat?

Hahaha! No - I have never heard of Sehrazat before, actually . I had two names, one Kurdish, one Roman . And I changed them because no one really called me either names, besides my parents. Plus, they were hard for people to pronounce...

Oh no, Nilofer is Persian, not Western ...and I agree with you, I prefer Eastern names, too. Both of my sons have Kurdish and Persian names . I never even thought about naming them something traditionally Danish ;D.

do your parents call you with your old name? isn't it a bit... uncomfortable to change your first name is such age? I mean, do you introduce yourself again to your relatives?

Yes, my parents call me by my birth names - but everyone else does not, including the rest of my family. I don't find it uncomfortable or weird since I'm so used to my parents calling me something else.

Vanilo, how come you changed your name?

For a couple reasons:
- besides my parents, nobody called me by my birth names - people could not pronounce my birth names.
I can't remember exactly when, how and by whom I was started to be called Nilofer...it goes that far back...

Deep inside I like the idea of Aliens being real, and more advanced than us. I have a sick obsession with electronic music (techno, house, minimal etc...) and.... I am extremely curious of what will happen in 2012.

If something is bothering my neck (like a shirt tag is pressing uncomfortably against my skin), I keep turning my head to the right until the discomfort is gone. I never turn to the left for some reason.

I was actually born in Serbia. Novi Beograd to be exact. Funny story actually. My parents officially lived in Slavonski Brod at the time ( Croatia) but my dad went all over the place working and his job at the time took him to N.Beograd. He ran into to some issues there which required my mom to come and do verify some legal things. She was expecting anyday and it happened on the way back. Pulled over in the local hospital and I was born and stayed there about 4 days before going home. Cool thing was my dad was able see me right away instead of waiting a month to go back to Croatia. Also , like back in 1999 or so I got a letter from the Serbian Military to join up since I was of that age lol. I laughed for a good while and never responded. It's become a joking point when my Cro friends want to tease me.

NO FUCKING way and people called me crazy when I downloaded the entire discography on youtube of the red army choir. Its utterly amazing music , especially if you want to get pumped. My favourites are Kalinka, Smugliana, and the "Defenders of Moscow". Some of my favorite music across all genres is by the Red Army Choir.
