When people ask me why I despise Europe, this is one of the first things I tell them about. The genocide in Rwanda. Not only was the west directly responsible for it (by creating the arbitrary divisions in their society throughout the colonial period) but they then were unwilling to risk the lives of a single one of their soldiers and allowed 400,000 people to die when a mere few thousand troops could have held them back...
Worse yet, you had all the miserable western leaders come out later and say "sorry"....
This is Europe...

Just like in Bosnia where UN Dutch troops gave refugees in the hands of Mladic
Ne kete bote nuk duhet te mbeshteten tek askund por vetem ne forcat e veta.

They were spineless cowards. If they threatened Mladic, told him that if he went ahead he would get the west to react immediately, he would not have been so callous. But they gave in to their fears... and 8000 people died as a result of it.
E ke te drejt. Edhe Bill Klintoni, i cilin e mbajm si hero, scavi koke fare per afrikanet. Vetem per interesat e tij, po mos te kishte interes ne kosove, mut sdo kishte bere.
What is more dispecable is that in Darfur China is blocking any UNSC attempt to intervene because they have interest in the oil in the region and have been helping the Sudanese govt exterminate the natives there. They sell cheap weapons to the rebels and make a hell of a profit from it.

Patjeter. Ishin Shqiptaret ata qe e sollen Ameriken te kundervinte. Shqiptaret jane te lindur per lufte jo si keta kurvat serbe. Sic tha Fan Noli, "A të duhen luftëtarë, Gjithë botës t'i vësh zjarrë ? Do arratinë të marrë ? Merr nja dhjetë Kosovarë!" Asnjeri ste pjerdh per ty ne bote n.q.s nuk kane interesa per te ardhur. Shiko c'fare ndodhi me Boshnjaket kur e lane fatin e tyre ne duar te "evropianeve".

C'mon guys, World is not a nice place with flowers and rainbows we know that. Is load of evil going around, didn't started today was all time as part of our history. The human nature is evil part itself. Where is a war that means is money to make for some. But we Albs have suffered all our history, if we didn't fought all those centuries we would be like people without nation kurdish people today, part of Turk-istan

This isnt the topic for you to be throwing your crap to speak out your racist mindset. If you want to get into a historical discussion about Albanians "fighting" out Turkish brothers and sisters during the last stages of the Ottoman Empire, open a topic. But be warned, I know a lot more than you do...

On the contrary, they have the same mentality.
France : Algerian genocide Germany : Holocaust Belgium: Slaughter in the Congo. Numbering in the millions
They have all exploited and robbed other nations to the extreme. Slaughtered millions of millions of people and yet cannot even take up the responsibility to help those they have butchered in the past.
I will say, Americans have more balls than Europeans will ever have. Even thought they have fuked up big in Africa. I mentioned that.
Albania is territorially in Europe, but we are not culturally European for the most part. We did not take part in the "Great Age of Exploration" or "Colonialism"... we were victims of it, since we, as Muslims, were not particularly and still are not particularly liked by Europeans.

cmon melty....albanians are like us. We both share the same history from antiquity. Only difference is we split up somewhere in the middle ages due to the ottomans using religion as a division.
Thats the only reason why we bust each others balls all the time. Was the introduction of islam in albania. Hence the arvanite discsussions all over this forum.

While i disagree with the muslims stuff since as somebody who is not muslim i dont feel any affiliation to this religion. I agree that Balkans have a different political reality. We did not participate in the age of colonialism. We started the industrial revolution start much later than in W.Europe.

Europe hasn't been much better.

Thats the only reason why we bust each others balls all the time. Was the introduction of islam in albania. Hence the arvanite discsussions all over this forum. 1. Even if the average Arvanitis were to go in Tirana and say "I want to be Albanian", the average person would never consider him so after hanging out with him for five minutes and the Arvanitis, after five minutes, would feel like he is in a foreign world. Albanians who have such arguments are internet youtube youths. In fact, real Albanians dont find those people to be anything but an amusement. Outside of "stick-it-to-Greece", they couldnt give a crap about them. They are our weapons against you. Thats it. 2. Ever thought that maybe you guys not converting is the main problem today? Either way, you continue to point at us and say "you did wrong", and as long as you do so, you wont come any close to an Albanian saying "your right, lets be friends". "cmon melty....albanians are like us." .... No... they are not anymore than Bosnians and Turks are like you. Those are the closest "cultural" kins the Albs have, and even with them... Albs have huge differences. " We both share the same history from antiquity." Nobody cares about antiquity... and Im saying this as a classics major. Antiquity is an amusement for people, something fun and funny to learn about. Real history, the one that truly becomes emotional and involving, is modern history. Its the one we associate with and can identify with. Antiquity is nothing for the average person. What matters to Balkanians is the Balkan Wars, WWII, 1821, 1912, 1914... those are important dates. 480 is a bedtime story next to it.

i disagree...you should never forget your roots. And yes, albanians are like us..Come to Greece to see for yourself. You can hardly tell the difference anymore. I feel comfortable with them, they speak greek and albanian, they act and talk like us. Hell, the mentality is even the same, sometimes they are even more helpful then some greeks when it comes down to commitments. If they say they will come...they will be there..

I had a conversation today in school with one muslim arab girl.
They were in my presentation group. Anyways conversation came that i told them i was Albanian. One of the girls said oh really "its sad to hear that you guys have been neglected so much in Europe". She was like, "are you muslim". I said "No, im orthodox". Then she said oh yeah because i heard the majority is muslim, isn't it. I said, "yeah it is". Just trying to be nice. Didn't want to say that there are a lot of atheists and albanians dont really care about religion. Then, i mentioned Bosnia... etc
Point being i really don't feel any affiliation at all with (bosnians, arabs, lebanese) or whatever this people are. I feel Albanians are unique. Everybody is trying to grab them. The east wants us on their side. The west wants us on their side.
We are neither east or west. I will never feel close to the muslims in middle-east just like i feel different from a British in the West.

Thats like an American coming up to me and saying "wow, Albanians are like Americans, I see them all the time in the US, speaking English, eating hamburgers. I can speak to them comfortably"....
Its called assimilation. The differences between Albs and Greeks are deeply rooted and you wont find them if your looking at hand gestures or baklava.
" If they say they will come...they will be there.."
Reliability. Well, Ill thank you... your one of the first who has ever said this of Albs. Even I have a hard time saying this... for many of them. The older, village ones, maybe, yea. But not the current generation.
"..you should never forget your roots."
Lol. My roots are 200-300 years ago, when the family and ethnicity I define with today were being influenced. Not 2000 years ago. God know where my "roots" were then. For all I know some slave from northern Europe was setting on a ship headed down to Durres was the foundation of where I am today...
