Dont you know about the siege of Berat? They won in that battle... the city was completely conquered. The defeat happened because Skanderbeg’s turkified nephew Hamza betrayed Albanians by giving Pasha the secret location of the Albanian army, which was located on the fields behind the Gorica part of town. Churches in Berat are untouchable because they date all the way back to the 13th century and are protected by UNESCO. They were all painted by Albanian painter Onufri, except the ones that were built by Fan Noli in the early 1900s. Duke John I don’t understand why you have that impression since I mentioned absolutely nothing about Greeks. If I was to state that, “All mosques in your town should be burned down to the ground and be replaced by churches.” Wouldn’t that be offensive to you? Especially when stated by an Albanian?

..and here it comes the famous favorite moto of Turkalbanians.. "if you want to proove you're Albanian.. proove to us you hate the Greeks".. And here it comes the famous motto of Greeks: if you are Orthodox, you are automatically Greeks...but I give Greeks credit for calling Muslim Albanians - Turkoalvanos and not Turks...it shows how their religious perception is connected to nationality and cannot be seen apart...

Teuta you know very well that Greeks dont hung around churches and pray every day.. Once or twice a year during Eastern and Christmas.. thats it.. and you know it. Dont try to show that Greeks are huper-religious people... Also.. why you comment on my post in a negative way? Isnt it what is the central idea? "You're an orthodox.. proove you hate Greeks in our Turkish way?" Did you see something different on the above conversations ?

I'll tell you why Basil. Greeks tend indeed to identify everything that is Orthodox to Greek, especially when it comes to Albanians. Tell me, can a Greek be Muslim? When I was in Greece and told them I am Albanian, the next question was: what religion are you? When I told them my religion (which by the way is what my father is and not what I believe in), their reaction was as if they were relieved to hear that I was not a Muslim! Some, dared as much as to tell me that I was Greek!!!! You had to see their disappointment on their eyes when I explained to them that I am not religious...I just happen to belong there...but it didn't change the fact that I was Albanian! What I read on their eyes was: "what a pity, you such a nice girl, to belong to Albanians"! Isn't it weird? PS: let me be honest: there are no negative connotations when it comes to my comments addressed to you, for you are one of the few Greeks here I hold a great respect. You know it.
