T.... you don't understand.... I will respect someone like AlbQ or some other Albanian that has lived among he Greeks and has has a negative outcome. What I don't respect or accept is a pubescent boy like Melty who left Albania 12 years old... and calls Greeks 's**tty people and gypsies' and you people feed him on..... His total portrayal of Greeks comes from this forum. Same goes for Insomniac and some others. I have met Albanians and Kosovars and some of the pukes in this forum are not representative of them. Kanaris, my friend, so you admit that there is a negative outcome of Greeks towards Albanians, do you? As per representatives, I think everyone presents him/herself here and no one applies to any nation whatsoever...as per calling names...again it is individual and momentary. T...you are writing things that are irrelevant to my post.

Karcari sateme...i dont "try" to do anything because i dont have to "try" at all, even if i was Muslim i would be the same way, anyone can behave like an insecure ape, but not everyone can debate normally no matter how much u hate someone...the only one who can do that here is Donnie, Albquietman, and maybe 1 or 2 others, the rest of u sound like ur whinning all the tiem, it doesnt really matter what ur arguing about, but the way u argue u come off as "uncvilized" backward, Turk-worshipper, unoriginal, and very...Albanian...what they expect and waht they want to see. and u forget that one of the most famous and smartest Albanians of all time, Fan Noli, was Orthodox...he was smart and patriotic too, but diplomatic, a diplomat can make u think u r thier best friend even if they hate u an d given the opportunity they would destroy u. was that too complicated for u "logic"? or r us still looking up the word "logic" in the dictionary? its ok, take ur time. You'll won't find too many of my posts praising the Turks because I'm simply indifferent towards them. I understand the past and I simply don't like what the Ottoman Empire did to us, but on the other hand, modern Turkey has done much to improve their relations with Albania. In 97' they had Albania's back when the Greeks threatened to calm the situation, they have recognized Kosova and have championed for our side many times. So it's a mixed feeling at best. Personally I have no problem with Orthodox Albanians, none what so ever. But I do have a problem with extremist, especially dumb ones such as yourself. Truth be told, I don't even like many of Melty's posts either, but I atleast sense a sarcasm from his post, you on the other hand are too stupid to pull something like that off. Simply stated, I don't care for your attitude or any one who shares the same attitude as yours. And you take that dictionary and learn how to f**king spell. You write like a f**king 12 year old from myspace. OMGZZZ DoooDDDDDDD if u think im an extremist, then u have huge problems with Orthodox Albanians because i am not even religios Lol. Melty's posts reek of desperation not sarcasm, his and urs is the atitude they except from Albanians and its the reason y Albanians dont advance...because many like u and him dont have an original thought in their heads.

No, just their faith... and their leadership. If I dislike Orthodox Albs I would hate half my family... However, dont be surprised if many Muslim Albs dislike Orthodox Albs as well, you guys share the faith of two people who are considered enemies... What is worse, you allowed them to take control of your church (Pappa Janni, never mind the numerous other "Arvanite" priests he put into power).
Orthodox Albanians should do their Muslim and Catholic brothers a favor and turn Uniate.

Orthodox Albanians should do their Muslim and Catholic brothers a favor and turn Uniate. Best thing they could have done but I feel like it's too late for that now that the Greeks have usurped their church. It's working for the Arberesh. Ja te shohim sa te iki Janullatos ne parajse cfare do behet. Let's keep the faith for now.

My personal view is that Albania policy on religion should be modeled on a Turkish-French. That is the state should have strong control over what priest/Hoxha says and over all religious property (in fact, the whole notion of church property is far too close to Greek model, which I find detestable). Zogu instituted a very good policy, he forced all the priests and hoxhas to pretty much preach the state or else they could risk execution. He would regularly usurp any religious institution that he felt was not doing its job to promote Albanianism.
Its never too late, if the state acts, recognizes Nikolla Marku of Elbasan, who has been adamantly opposed to Janni. But it is also up to the Orthodox, if they want to prove to Albs whether or not they are truly Albs and believe in Albanianism or if they are kaur trash.
Albania's secular politicians should take control and force the church to go the way most beneficial for the state, IMO. Same with Islam. I would go as far as to ban Arabic recitation and promote an "Albanian" translation of the Kuran... or ban sunnism and promote Bektashi Islam: no headscarfs, no mosque, no hajj, alcohol allowed.

And Im not concerned over any "Hellenization", you made it quite clear that I, "a Turk", would not be welcomed. I just want to see people prove their ethnicity. And me being a "Turk" still makes me more Albanian than what your faith makes you "a grekofil muti", sepse Shqiptaret dhe Turqet jan vllezer . And ther Pederpappa has done plenty wrong by simply being the ethnicity he is. He was born wrong for the job and you guys taking him in shows just how unAlbanian you guys are.

What is so bad with being orthodox? And you dont want your Christians just because of their faith? Are you insane? Let alone that 99,999% of albos dont have any problem with the orthodox people because religion doesnt play an important role anyway among albanians, especially since communism.
So I dont understand why you are trying to split your people by creating different identities within your albanian identity.

Most Albanians don't say anything because in Albania there is a sort of unspoken rule against making such divisions (by clarifying religioous position). However, most Albs do feel a sense of antipathy towards Orthodox Christians for accepting a Greek as head of their church, often feel that Orthodox Albanians are not "fully" true Albs because of their leaning and can be more pro-Greek than can be healthy. Its not very much spoken, but it is a reality. For many Albs, being Orthodox is not necessarily a good good. And Im just talking about the Albs of Albania, let alone the Albs of Kosova and Macedonia, many of whom could prolly barely accept an Orthodox Alb as an ethnic kin.
By becoming Uniate, they would prove to other Albs that they are not like Serbs and Greeks and will not share a Christianity with them. Many many Albs would openly support this! In fact, I bet you the majority of Albs would accept this change with open arms (let alone many actual Albanian Orthodox Christians who would as well). If they broke connection with the Rum Patriarch of Istanbul, then it would finally free the Albanian church. Or if they created their own Albanian Orthodox Christianity.

come on...they are disliked because they have a Greek as head of their church? That sounds perhaps pretty spectacular for Illyria forums but I doubt its sth that really happens.

Just read how many articles are published daily against Jannulatos and the decision of Albs to keep him. Its very much a fact that most Albs (non-Orthodox, and I know many Orthodox as well who dont want him out of pure inat against Greeks) do not want Yannulatos. The very presence of a such a Greek in Albania angers many, particularly Muslim Albs, who feel like they get confirmation for the believe that orthodox albs are not true to their ethnicity.

Orthodox Christianity is the primary religion of Eastern Europeans and even in the Caucus, so we dont just share it with Serbs and Greeks in the grand scheme of things, your religion, Islam, is the "odd guy out" not Orthodox Christianity...if a war breaks out youre going to be the one ducking for cover. especially since Western Europe has such a huge problem with Muslims. so besides being unoriginal sheep youre also clueless about the state of the world, it figures you byproduct of Communist ignorance.
