Bulgarians are as much Thracian as Macedonians are ancient Macedonian

^ In my opinion, l hope people don't get angry, l think Bulgarians have local origins from Thracians that were slavicised by slavs and then influenced by Turkic Bulgars. By blood origins from 1 to 3, it would be listed as so:
1: Thracian 2: Slavic 3: Bulgar
The vardarians are not decendants from ancient macedonians, you can argue that they are mixed possibily with Thracian and Illyrian like they are today between Bulgarian Slav and Serbian Slav.

If you have to ask that question... then you need to re-evaluate yourself to be more self aware of what you are and what you will be.

Besarab.. There is a difference between bulgars and bulgarians (in our language no "difference" in purpose). Bulgarians are called all the citizen of modern Bulgaria, since Bulgars are turkic ppl of the remote steppes. This is no propaganda and everybody knows the fact, except ppl like you who want that to stay... "untouched". And Besarab, I did not authorised you to talk instead of me! I know better who I am, so now again, read my lips: I am Bulgarian - with no bulgar origin. Comprende?! If you really are besarab, go find your roots in Besarabia.. @kanaris That question is the name of the youtube video. I knew the answer already..

That's not funny. In fact, this Besarab fellow is slightly anti-Romanian. He is against the idea of a Romanian-Moldovan reunion. His kind--that is, the Bulgarians of Moldova--have invested a great deal in trying to change the Romanian identity of the Moldovans.
Sad, so sad, that Bulgarians will take this step to ruin so much for us. After all we have done for you.

Rhezus, you are amazingly stupid. I don't know how you survive in Sweden with that extremely low intellectual capacity of yours. You must be relying on social benefits, I don't see any other option. p.s. stop editing people, your posts are so foolish that you must start editing yourself first.

Pagane, what ever you say.. you're the witch of that forum. But you still have to learn, reading your crystal ball better is essential. My life is just fine, but I'm not sure about your life. It's probably a disaster from all I've already seen in BG. Btw, take my advice - do not deny the thracian ancestry. I've red something about a curse for all who do that. Even Baba Vanga (from who you have a lot to learn) said, Bulgaria won't do it better untill we not reveal what's real true. So better watch out, witch..

I agree, Ioan. Amazing, isn't it?
He judges by the enormous number of red-haired and blue-eyed Bulgarians, direct descendants of Thracians (as they were described) who inhabit our cities, towns and villages ;D
Thracians living badly? You must be kidding!

pagane, by the way, most scientists believe the Greeks described the Thracians as red haired/green eyed because they wanted to distance them from the dark haired/dark eyed Greeks. They assosiated dark complextion with high culture and fair complexion with barbanism. I think they are right, because Thracians should ve been Mediterranian type, cause in the climate of the Bulgarian lands it would ve been hard to be green eyed/fair haired (we have to bear in mind the Thracians lived since long time in those lands).

Well, they also gave them many positive features in their descriptions, should we judge those as well? No one knows where Thracians came from, they might have preserved their characteristics here. In adition, the climate here is not so Mediterranean, we have plenty of cold months.

one positive feature in theyr description is they all were habitual drunkards. .this feature is very precisely described by many greek writers including omir and herodotus. so we really might have lot of tracian blood running in our venes today
