Hmm I really dont get it it would make sense had all countrys been under lock and key and there was no immigration, forieng conquerors/armys etc etc then you could extract blood and get a pure reading ( I am guessing) but since there has been so much movement/mixing I think this is all just BS. I would be the first to call myself stupid ignorant etc when it comes to this sort of thing.....who took part in the testing ? did they try and trace the family tree all the way back to identify if the guinee pig was originaly (as far back as possible) from the area ? did they get permission or was it taken from hospitals etc
I guess all Authors will form there own opinions and publish them which is why most have this,
Disclaimer The information about the origin and ethnic association of haplogroups on this website should not be read as hard facts, but, as is often the case in science, as a model in constant evolution based on the present knowledge and understanding (of the authors). Whenever the advancement of genetics couldn't provide irrefutable answers, we have attempted to provide the most likely and logical hypothesis based on archeological, historical and linguistic evidence.

^ Vinjak, first of all I am very sceptical of the figures. The sample sizes are way too small & there is not enough studies overall. I honestly think a few of the figures WILL flip flop on further studies. However, some things are likely to remain true from initial studies. Haplogroup I2a2 being pinpointed to the Dinaric mountain slavs for instance. I think this is likely to remain true.
