They're not exactly renowned for their modest and unpretentious nature. It's not a coincidence that they're the most profitable commodity for human traffickers and mafioso across Europe either. That being said, they do produce some fine b***hes in the former Eastern Bloc

Here is your beloved Belgrade in all its splendid glory; Oh and here is Belgrade holding its infamous fireworks display in 1999. Now compare that to Albania; I know where I'd rather be right now... Yet still Serbia is above Albania in the most tourism rankings. Not that Serbia is anything overly special when it comes to tourism.

Albania has only recently opened up their borders, and only recently they have been pouring money to help out tourist areas and fixing roads to accommodate these tourists. Serbia on the other hand, is a landlocked country and has no future in tourism. Even Serbs themselves do not vacation in Serbia and travel either to Montenegro, a country that broke away from your state and recognized Kosova, and Croatia, a country that exterminated your kind during WWII and also broke away from Yugoslavia to get away from you Slobs.
Pretty much, Serbs vacation to places they are not wanted.

27 July 2009 | Serbia claims to be the only country not only in the Balkans but in all of Europe that has seen a rise in the number of tourists who visited it since the beginning of the year. Since January, the number of visitors to Serbia has increased by 4 per cent compared to the same period of last year, Goran Petkoviæ, Secretary of State for Tourism, told the RIA Novosti news agency today. The remainder of the countries in the region, according to him, have seen a drop in tourists of around 4 per cent, while other European countries – such as Austria and the Czech Republic, have seen their visitors decrease by as much as 20 per cent. For example, according to data released by Bulgaria’s National Statistical Institute today, the number of travellers who visited the country in June of this year is 12.7 per cent lower than in the same period of 2008. The unusual trend observed in Serbia partly results from the Serbian government’s efforts to advertise tourist services in neighbouring countries, Petkoviæ commented. There are, however, some negative trends observed in Serbia’s tourism. According to the publication, the amount spent by foreign visitors this year is 200 million US dollars (around 140,390,285 euro), or 13 per cent, less than last year. The number of domestic tourists has also decreased by 13 per cent. About 2.2 million tourists visited Serbia in 2008, with income from tourism amounting to 944 million US dollars (around 662,642,000 euro). The aim for this year is to retain the same levels as 2008, Petkoviæ stated. www.balkantravellers.com/en/read/article/1369

^^^^ Have you ever been to Serbia ? no, but since it was the capital of Yugoslaiva I wouldn't be surprised if its more westernized than the rest of Serbia... that's probably why Pidhosevic thinks that Belgrade, where he was born and where he currently lives, is a 'western nightmare' that he wants to 'escape'

pycko,
i rarely know what you mean when you try your hand at a smart remark or when you attempt an elaborate insult, yeah the set up is there, the premise is ok but its like the thought was abandoned at mid flight, and all that comes out is a disjointed, incoherent jumble of ideas fit for a person with dyslexia, its like tangle of half finished thoughts, and i often wondered why is that and it never dawned on me until now, that's kind of a metaphor for who you are as a person, a piss poor half of anything, never a complete smth, story of your life huh? just an observation, you're like the maiden voyage of a ship that hit an iceberg and sunk, a lot of hope but always disappoints.

i dont read what you write. i doubt anyone does, except yourself maybe. Opening you notepad and writing the same lines would have the same impact on reality.
Also, let me remind you that this is SERBIAN forum, and this topic is about TRAVELING TO SERBIA. I fail to see your contribution to the topic.

Why is Pyrros going to Serbia? Is Pyrros even Greek? What is his connection to Serbia exactly?? Serbian wife or something?
I've been to Novi Sad and Belgrade as a kid... don't remember much of Novi Sad but I know Belgrade was very nice.. and I hear that from other people who've been there recently.. so its most definitely not a shithole like people in this thread are making it out to be. It's a must-go if you're going through the Balkans.

Serbian wife or something?
Yes. He is a balding short greek. Because he found a wife now he is indebted to Serbia forever. And to show his nationalism he feeds on insults.

And to show his nationalism he feeds on insults. i had an "arvanite" wife before (no kids with her, Thanx Almighty God), i was lucky not to kill her and end up behind bars. Her logic was very much the same as yours guys = absent.

So this is where all the anger comes from. Your ex-wife was Greek. No such thing as "arvanite".
You probably associated her in your head with us. Because of your failure to maintain a relationship (which is so clearly evident even in this forum).

LMAO, insomniac! "No such thing as arvanite"!!! There are literally hordes of albos who have used this "arvanite" card to exagerate the albo factor in the greek revolution as in the Suli case.
"no such thing as arvanite"!!! You guys change positions and opinions like shirts.
The persistent "value" you albos have in common among your ppl, is hatred and jealousy for your superiors. Serbs are there to form a reference point for you. Without your explicit hatred for Serbs, you are just a bunch of wild goats, with no orientation, no goal, no style, nothing. The only thing you can do is to try (and fail) to destroy what your superiors build.
Oh... And taking this divorce was a pain in the ass... The b1tch wouldn't just pack and get the f**k out of my house. (Showing the classic albanian tendency for theft, Jesus, even years i notice things missing from those years ;D) Ha ha, idiocy, hatred and theft must be in your genes.
