I'd say the percentage of Serbs with distant Montenegrin roots is even higher. I mean, just about all of Sumadija, large parts of Central Serbia, and all of Krajina (excluding Slavonia which was populated by Serbs from Old Serbia) were settled almost exclusively by Montenegrin Serbs and many Bosnian Serbs are from Herzegovina and northern Montenegro.

I think every Serb family somewhere in their lineage has Montenegrin in them, but based on their population it would argueable that they populated all of Krajina, Sumadija etc. If anything many Bosnian/Hercegovian Serbs moved into Zeta centuries ago.

Yes, 40-50% of Serbians have Montenegrin roots in them, but they're not 100% Montenegrin today. I have Montenegrin blood from a 150yrs ago, but I'm not a Montenegrin Serb. So many Serbs trace their roots to Montenegro yet hardly a drop are ethnically Montenegrin in any sense. Only place I know of where Montenegrins maintained a Montenegrin ethnic identity is in Lovcenac in Vojvodina. Montenegrins themselves have a national sport of claiming any given Serb of significance is from Montenegro.

donnie - you must have a lot of hate inside. Last I checked the independence of Montenegro barely passed - almost 50/50 so how can you claim a whole country has stabbed anyone in the back, if anything they were divided. Go back in time and there was actually a revolt when Montenegro was forced to become part of the former Yugoslavia and Nikola I and a lot of his supporters went to Italy. So believe what you will but don't spread false propaganda that is obviously one sided.
And as far as "inbreeds" are concerned the region has a history of separate rulers as most of Europe has had with the changes of power. If anything many parts of Montenegro were never taken control of by Turkish rule as as such the blood lines are a lot more pure (if this is what you consider inbreed lol). And if your doubting Crnagorski bravery I can link articles by travelers from different locations that relate the old stories of fierce Montenegrin warriors and how even Napoleon was afraid of their tenacity. So don't try to take away what is always recorded in history with your lacking interpretations.
Yes, the Montenegrin economy is suffering and it is evident that they need to find a better way to support themselves, but what do you expect from a recently independent country? They will eventually find the way to prosperity. I still don't get why you even mention Greek or Slovenia as there irrelevant in this discussion. It's obvious that Slovenia's joining the EU in 2004 really helped them. This is the same tract Montenegro is trying to take. At least were not known for our sex and drug trafficking.
I have obviously been away too long, the one sided propaganda by the siptars has shined it's ugly head on the wrong end of the forum once again. Stick to writing science fiction and leave non-fiction to true historians.

Hey Bro Thanks for the welcome. Not sure how much propaganda bullshit I'll be able to take from the haters but I'll do my best to hang around for a while. If anything, at least annoy a few of them before I go hah.

So what's up with Dukljans? Lately some people have sent me some (I guess you can say) anti-Dukljan groups to join on facebook but of course I've turned that crap down. It's ridiculous. Could someone please explain this to me? Is it because the Dukljans were in favour of separation than the rest of Montenegrins?

Most Dukljans are anti Serbian, they hate us (Serbians, not only those from Serbia) a lot. Therefore it is "normal" that a lot of Serbians are anti Dukljans. I am kind of anti Dukljan. I was not that much) against Montenegros independence but I really do not like such people as Dukljans. OK to be honest I was for unity (one state, federation) but as majority (with big support from Muslims, Bosniaks and Albanians) have voted to be independent I had to respected it. I said "had to" because what happened after independence I got really disappointed ( I have written about it in my previous posts) . Those Dukljans hate Serbs more than Croats hate Serbs (at least that is my impression). We have a saying : "Postao je veci Turcin od samih Turaka".

That's stupid of these Dukljans to hate Serbs when after all we're the same people if you know what I mean. There's already enough hatred in the Balkans & we don't need more especially amongst ourselves. Even some Serb Crno Gorci can be chauvinist idiots too. Znam Gavrilo. Nisam ja Dukljan i nisam ja od Duklja. Ali tamo je lepo i ja nikad nemo problema sa neko tamo.

I feel you kid, I had a wonderful time there too. I consider it a part of my peoples land also. I'm just saying that the dukljans are the guys who take their pants off and get it from behind for some $ and recognition.
What goes around comes around though, so hopefully the people recognize it soon enough. The only problem is that crnogorci are soooo god damn fcuking stubborn! LOL. My grandma is ridiculous compared everyone else in my fam. And so is my auntie for that matter, all stubborn ass unflexible uncompromising monti's.
I can tell by your posts that your one of the good montenegrins.

Hockey? Basketball? By the way you don't have to tell me how stubborn us Crna Gorci's are LOL. My cousins & their kids laugh about it too. My Dad is a hardliner too but it's all good. You know I get a kick out of it LOL That stubborn behavior is typical Balkan trait.
