Onuk Sazan, Turkish Sports Car
ONUK SAZAN
As long as you’re a sports car freak, you should know that there’s a new brand cooking up in someone’s garage, and it’s called Onuk Sazan. Just as the 246 Dino was named after Enzo Ferrari's son, the Sazan is named after Dr Onuk's late son Kaan, who died in a car accident. Sazan is a nickname for Kaan.
As long as you understood the story behind the name, you probably suspect by now that this car is Turkish. Well, it is. And it’s been designed and build by Dr Onuk. To get one of these in your driveway, you’ll have to pay 200,000 euros, which is a lot considering its non existing history and the fact that very little official figures are out.
The Onuk Sazan has a VQ-series Nissan V6 with around 450 bhp or, if you're in the mood for some more punch, an LS7 GM V8 with 512 hp and 480lb ft of torque. The power goes to the rear wheels and the car weights just 900 kg in the V6 version and close to 1,000 kg in the V8 version. Judging from these figures, this should be fast.
Just in case you have a passion for the Turkish, you should know that this is not their first attempt. Their first sports car was the Anadol STC-15 back in the ‘70s, which was powered by a 1600cc Ford engine. Some of you might see some history here, but we wouldn’t go that far.

Etox Zafer
A sportcar from Turkey
In Ankara, they have begun manufacturing the first Turkish passenger vehicle since 1984. The Etox Zafer combines sporty looks with compact car technology. Under the bonnet of this exotic automotive novelty is a thrifty 125bhp diesel engine from Renault. The first two Zafers to roll off the assembly line have already been delivered, with orders for twenty more on the books. The interior of each car is tailored to suit the size and weight of its prospective owner. Half of the outstanding 20 orders have been placed by Turks living in Germany. Your customised Etox Zafer will cost you around 40,000 euros.
