Ancient City of Heraclea in New York Geplaatst op 25-05-2007 11:50 door Goggy in reizen Yesterday (Thursday May 24th 2007) an exhibition dedicated to the ancient city of Heraclea (near Bitola in Macedonia) opened for the public of the Big Apple. The Gallery MC, run by the Macedonian Cultural Center, is the host. The premises are located at 549 West 52nd Street, 8th Floor (Between 10th and 11th Avenues) and Gorazd Poposki a relaxed sculptor, is the director of the ever more active center. Noted academics and professionals discussed the phenomenon of the ancient city of Heraclea. The curators supported the show with photograph display. The location of the ancient city is in the fertile plain, to the north protected by the Baba mountain and from the south by the Siva Voda river, has always been a key geographic area through to the Roman period. It is the link between the Adriatic and Aegean coats. Heraclea boasts magnificent Roman monuments. The floor mosaics, performed in various technique and distributed over a surface of 1300 square meters, is the most mysterious and impressive feature of the Heraclea archaeological site. yeap... that is why I said sounds Greek. If it was Heracleaski or Heracleov I would say sounds Bulgarian..

yeap... that is why I said sounds Greek. If it was Heracleaski or Heracleov I would say sounds Bulgarian.. No brainy. In the end, FYROM language is Bulgarian and the fyrom people are south west Bulgarians who think they are northwest Greeks.

I agree Ioan. Who says something different? Fyromians are Bulgarians and Macedonians are Greeks. Life's so easy...

Makedonski jezik je izmedju Bugarskog i Srpskog. No, brother . Its Bulgarian (at best Bulgarian dialect), written on Serbian type machine . You can understand that a speach is dialect if it has the same grammer. FYROM and Bulgarian have the same grammer, even though they were devided for 100 years. Of course they have Serbian words, but its due to the heavier Serbian influence in later times.
