^ i'm telling you man thats what they are planning to do. They only have a goal to reach their dream of greater albania. Well, I hope that never occurs because it can only happen one way, and it will cost human lives.

If you ask me..the albanians are probably the only sane part of the Macedonian govt at this time. All the other politcal parties espescailly VMRO are to busy playing dungeons and dragons with this antiquization of their country.

Some updates. This photo was taken in October 2009, so I'm sure the two buildings across the bridge are almost finished by now.

This large office building in the center of Skopje looks almost complete. Work hadn't even started when I was there early last year. They work fast those workers...

All the other politcal parties espescailly VMRO are to busy playing dungeons and dragons with this antiquization of their country. This isn't "antiquization". Skopje is simply being rebuilt to what it once was. A lot of these building were already there before the 1963 earthquake. Here are some pictures of what Skopje once used to look like: Shot taken in the 1930's. Similar angle to the picture in post number 23. And Kale Fortress (the big castle thing in the background on post 23), here is a picture of what it used to look like. I wish they could rebuild this building. Skopje used to have a city gate too. Picture from the 1910's. And a whole assortment of European style buildings. The old theater building looked better than the new one will.

No problem Novi. I love looking at developments and restorations of buildings too. Here is another site similar to the one I posted but this one includes all the Balkans. www.skyscrapercity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=388The Macedonians no longer post there though because all the Bulgarians and Greeks drove them off by spamming about the name issue, as usual. ;D

Nikola, the hell are you talking about boy!? You said you are not like Macedonians from the south, you said you are the same as whatever the Serbs are. You are no Macedonian, you are a Serb from Macedonia.

^ You see Nikola, Asen is the confused one, he doesn't know whether his a Bulgar or Slav, you know, his turkic relatives the Gagauz of Bulgaria refer to themselves as either a Hasli or Eski Bulgar ;D
The worst of this all, he propagates that the Turkic Bulgars arn't Turkic at all but the purest Aryans lmao

novi, i fail to see whats so important in the bulgar origin. even if we accept (though there are too many proofs its not true) that the bulgars were turkic, I fail to see how this effects the fact that the bulgarIANS are slavs. Are u suggesting we are not slavic? Because this would be the most idiotic statement (though we ve seen everything from u but I guess u always can sink lower). One doesnt have to be a slavic speaker (as we know u are not) to know that our lexic is almost exclusevely slavic and our language is undoubtedly slavic. so actually no one can dispute if the bulgarIANS are slavic because its selfevident by our language. The origin of the bulgars doesnt have any effect on bulgarIAN slavic character, because it doesnt change our language. On the other hand, BulgarIANS can not be turkics because we do not speak a turkic language. So actually there is no confusion for thinking people, thats why there is for you.

^ Your forefathers the Bulgars with whom you had mixed with were a Turkic tribe, they believed in Tangra, had shatras, drank airag, spoke a turkic language, had east asian calendars etc....Even 5% of your population has a Turanid 'Bulgar Turkic' element.

As i said the turkic teory is yet just a teory. But even if it was indeed true, it doesnt change the fact that we are slavic people - a fact attested by our language. In conclusion, there can be no doubt that the Bulgarians are slavic and on the other hand its a fact Bulgarians are not turkic, because we do not speak turkic.

Isn't that what you said? That 'you are like whatever the Serbs are, and that Macedonians from the south of Skopje are different'?
Now once more, the Kangaroo is such a retard that it astonishes me day by day. Either way, the origin of the Bulgars is absolutely irrelevant when we are discussing Macedonia and Macedonians.
The fact that Macedonians were Bulgarians is agreed upon by practially all independent scholars. No one is claiming that Macedonians are ancient Bulgars alone, hell, no one is claiming that Bulgarians are anicent Bulgars alone. We are both a product of the same mix of ethnic groups, and up until recently Macedonians themselves identifed as Bulgarians.
