I see statues who do not belong to f macedonian history in any way. Are you proud of stealing the history of your neighbors? Truth to be told, though, I find it quite amazing to see monuments that combine ancient Greek and Bulgarian history in an astonishingly insolent manner. Don't you have any shame?!

Shame of what? Of being natives? No, why should the natives be ashamed? What about the invaders who raped and pillaged... did they have any shame?

If the natives were like you, Balkans would have no history whatsoever. 'Natives' are pretty funny - they claim they were here before the Sun exploded but actually have achieved absolutely nothing. And for the minutes - macedonians in the todays republic are not natives at all.

They have achieved absolutely nothing? So the history of the Greeks, the Illyrians and the Thracians--from whom the natives draw their blood--achieved absolutely nothing?
You monkey, get out of here! Your people are a disease.

And where do Romanians place themselves among those people? Besides, except Greeks what have the others actually achieved?!
Why not? If that stops you from getting nervous breakdowns...

Oh this is funny. People were making fun of the triumphal gate in Skopje, and now Belgrade wants to build one too. I guess seeing the Macedonian basketball players being welcomed home as they drove through the arch was an inspiration. www.njuz.net/vlada-srbije-raspisala-konkurs-za-trijumfalnu-kapiju-za-docek-sportista/The Serbian government announces a competition for a triumphal gate to welcome athletes BELGRADE, 22 September 2011, (News)
Due to the increasing interest of the people to welcome athletes after victories in numerous international competitions, the Serbian government has announced a contest today for the best architectural design for the future Arc de Triomphe. Entries can be submitted until 5 November and the winners are expected steady work in public administration. The idea of building a triumphal gate came personally Serbian President Boris Tadic, who often attended dočecima athletes, but only recently realized how much these events mean to our people. The foundation of any good policy is to provide fun and pleasure to our people. Joy of winning athletes deters people from everyday worries and problems, and the joy of welcoming the days Champions occupy all the citizens who participated in it - said Serbian President Boris Tadic, adding that the implementation of the project significantly contributed to our people feel better. - I got inspiration from seeing the Arc de Triomphe in cities across Europe. Belgrade, but also all citizens of Serbia will be proud of this building - the president said. Ivica Dacic, the interior minister and one of the judges said that Boris Tadic joined the telephone last session of the Government and put forward his idea that everyone immediately accepted. How is the idea that future Arc de Triomphe built somewhere on the route from the airport Nikola Tesla to the city center, and he added that it is necessary to be quick in implementing ideas. - It is essential that work begin immediately, not after the completion of Corridor 10, while people are still accustomed to the traffic jam - Dacic considered. Mladjan Dinkic, promoting his ideas about saving measures, said the independent construction of the Arc de Triomphe excessive luxury at the moment and that he should enter into an agreement with the Russian company Gazprom, in which she upgraded the existing triumphal gate Dragon pump. According to the first unofficial information, the defeat of Russia in volleyball national team of Serbia, Dinkic this proposal is likely to reject predstavnivi Gazprom, regardless of Russia's victory over Serbia in basketball. Milutin Mrkonjic said that maybe this building is unfounded and unnecessary, but will nevertheless work to be done as soon as possible. - We are very important to complete the work by next summer, because we expect the return of our athletes from the Olympics, and elections will probably be in the fall of the 2012th year, so we believe that this venture will fulfill expectations - Mrkonjić said.

Skopje will get a new tram systemThursday, November 3, 2011 17:16A decade-old idea will finally be realized. Skopje will get a tram, and Skopje citizens the opportunity to ride with him.The tram proposal has completed the first phase, ie the preparation of a feasibility study by consultants "Vialto." The tram project is now in the second phase, which is the preparation of tender documentation, which should be ready in January 2012 month. Right then announces tender for tram concessionaire. This procedure will last 3-4 months, which means that next year in May or June will have already selected concessionaire, announced the mayor of Skopje, Koce Trajanovski. Construction of the tram-line length of 15 kilometers from Novo Lisice to Petrov is a very important project for the City of Skopje. The analysis shows that this investment is worthwhile, it is possible that the City of Skopje and to the Government subsidized the annual costs for operation of the tram with a certain percentage, said Trajanovski. The first tram line will link Skopje settlements Novo Lisice, Airport Center, Karpo Vlae and Petrov, and unofficially the tram route would take place right after the final line the boulevards partisan detachments, Dimitrie Cupovski, complex banks and Jane Sandanski. The implementation of the "Streetcar" will reduce traffic congestion in the capital and protect the environment. kurir.mk/republika/skopje/48374-Skopje-definitivno-ke-dobie-tramvaj

I agree. It's on a path to become beautiful, hopefully it doesn't get sidetracked. Some more pictures from recent weeks: A recently restored bridge near the city centre.
