The city is located mostly in a valley...and who knows how to navigate the mountains better than Montenegrins? It wouldn't be the first time we defeated a larger force, Battle of Fundina was 5,000 against 40,000 ottomans hehe We'll give you minority rights, and maybe a cultural center in the city don't worry

It took the entire Montenegrin army alongside numerous Serb contingents and heavy artillery to carry out a siege inwhich your troops barely managed to maintain themselves against a poorly equiped army of Albanian peasants. And in the end, the city had to be betrayed by gold. A pathetic joke. Your pathetic Kralj took seven months to do what he thought would take two weeks.
Nevermind the headache you guys went through to capture Ulqin (which, in the end, was handed to you by the British navy, never forget that fact).
When it comes to the neighboring Albs, you Montenegrins have to either asks the Serbs for help and equipment or your helpless. Even your Miljanov, who was part Albanian, was almost killed by Alb troops next door. 300 years ago Albanian Malsor tribes kept your people locked inside your doors in fear... not to mention the Bushati families went up and down your country before you managed to kill him.
You arent worth half of what a Malsor is worth. Not an ounce.
Next time an Albo-Montenegrin battle should happen... Albs wont be on the defensive as we were last time (against Greeks, Serbs and Bulgaro-Macedonians). It can finally be an even battle between slaves and men.

Skadar was the capital of the ottoman viyalet! Ottoman military and commanders fought in the battle, over 15,000 strong! The ottomans fought behind the town walls while we bombarded the city, it was a major ottoman city and trading route thus much harder to capture than any other in the region. Read up on your history a bit and don't embellish fact with your biased albanian opinion. Yes over 10,000 montenegrin lives did perish, however the amount of Ottoman/Albanian military that died were great as well. Oh yeah? Marko Miljanov who beheaded over 50 turks was almost killed by some Albanians? lol What about your Isa Boletini? Killed like a dog by Montenegrins By the way...the Bushatli family are descended of the Montenegrin dynasty Crnojevic, just so you're better informed. Next time a battle happens between us you'll be wishing you gave up Skadar earlier.

Wrong Slave! The Ottoman troop number was barely 5000 Albanians with a number of Turks, the Ottomans were not prepared to defend the area since the defenses had been weakened by successive Albanian rebellions in the region. The rest of the force consisted of neighboring Malesor Albanians, many Catholic alongside Muslim, they numbered 10,000. Hence the 15,000 number. Read up your numbers subhuman! Meanwhile the Montenegrins had 25,000 troops with 3 Serb contigents alongside modern artillery and weapons. Some Albanians were fighting with household rifles that dated from as much as a century earlier and at times even pitchforks.
Boletini died surrounded in his own home... he killed nearly a dozen men before he died. Miljanov was crushed by an outnumbered band of Albanians and Bosniacs from nearby Plav-Gucinje. He barely escaped to tell about it. He was then defeated again!
I dont care if he "beheads Turks". We are talking about Albanians here.
Lol! The Bushati came from Bushati, simple as that. Attempts to turn the family into a set of Slaves is a joke. Especially if you were to ask the modern descendants of the family in America. Subhuman that family owned your entire country. All he needed to do was unite Albanian tribes together and in a minute he went up montenegro, had his Alb troops sack Cetinje and then took off... probably with a good number of Svetlanas... regardless of his later fall in over ambition.

And ofcourse you forgot to adress your total humiliation at Ulqin, where two successive attacks STILL couldnt break a disorganized Albanian defense... pathetic! Especially as the Albanians also had to deal with an Ottoman attack from the rear.
Without the Serbs to provide assistance the Montenegrins wouldnt have even budged beyond Shkoder and without the British barage of Ulqin, the city would belong to its rightful owners today. Your failures are crystal clear and undeniable. Your hoping to survive as a nation when even when your nation was at its most independent you were still a note in the overall Serbian campaign. Your Krajl was little more than a governor for Serbia. Even as now, Milo would not be able to handle the Albs if they were not as divided politically as they are there today. Your hope of establishing an independent Balkan nation is hopeless, soon enough you will again be begging Belgrade to help you with the nasty southern bogeymen, to whom you have already done plenty of favor by pretty much insulting the honor of pretty much every folk hero/leader/figure of the past: recognizing Kosovo. Your sheep and without Belgrade you have no shepard.

No, it is fact that the Catholic Albanians outside skadar sided with the Montenegrins in the battle, and the ottoman troop number was estimated 15,000 including muslim albanian volunteers. They had just as modern artillery and the advantage of a walled city to protect themselves in. He was killed in Podgorica while planning a take over of the city...him and his bandits (kachaks) were all killed by Radomir Vesovic and his men. Marko Miljanov commanded 2,500 men at the battle of Fundina and defeated an exponentially greater Turkish opponent. He was a man of insurmountable respect not only among Montenegrins but Malsore Albanians as well. They indeed came from Bushati, however the family was started by one Skenderbeg Crnojevic, islamisized son of Montenegrin lord Ivan Crnojevic.

Actually, no... again. Riza managed to bring Albanian Catholic tribes on his side for the siege and they partook in its defense. They made up the 10,000 volunteer contingent. Like I said before, the number of Ottoman troops did not number above 5 thousand. This is non-disputable Slave and I will no longer respond to this. Find something new. What I say is fact, what you say is subhuman nonsense.
Like I said, I dont give a fuk about Fundina. I am talking about his major failures against Albanian and Bosniac troops in two consecutive battles, one inwhich he barely got out alive nevermind the fact that the Montenegrin troops were exceedingly larger. Slave, learn your history atleast.

"In The early encounters, the Zeta Force achieved some initial advantage, but failed to use in to good purpose. The Forces advance on Skadar was slow, although it had an open read, the Catholic Albanian tribes having sided with Montenegro. This inertia enabled the Turkish commander to reinforce his defenses numerically." Can you post a link about the "major battle" in Gusinje? And again, your greatest hero Isa Boletini taken out like a dog by us while conspiring to steal our land. Tsk tsk, you gypsies have no honor, nor bravery.

The Malesor groups intially sided with Montenegrins, with the belief that Montenegro would support an Albanian state, they made a mistake and short afterwards corrected it by attacking and supporting Riza. During the siege itself, Albanian Malesor Catholics fought on the side of the defenders.
The reinforcement of the Ottoman forces came from local volunteers. As I stated before, you slave.
Your more than welcome to ask Donnie or Murlan, both have greater sources available to them than me. Murlan especially.

It took an entire force of Montenegrins to surround him and kill him. He died killing them left and right and took down nearly a dozen before death. I wouldnt call that dying without honor. Fleeing from battle, with your back to the enemy... thats pathetic. Boletini did not die in such a way.

Again, any sources/facts to back up your extravagant claims of Albanian "heroism", if not let's just both agree that Montenegrins are the brave warriors and Albanians/Serbs are turkish servants/weak puppets

You should care about Fundina, because many of those very same Albanians and Bosniacs were the ones being slaughtered in that battle. You forget that before the 19th century Albanians were nearly indistinguishable from Turks, fool.

Krivosanin, you seriously don't know about the battles that happened in December 1879 near Plave-Gucia between the Albanian forces lead by Ali Pashe Gucia and the Montenegrins led by Mark Milani?
I believe that the major fighting took place in Nokshiqi (or as you guys call it Novsici). At the end of the day, the Montenegrins were forced to retreat.
Mark Milani then attacked Malesia trying to cross the Bridge at Rrzhanica (which runs over the river Cemi), and were successfully repelled by Hoti and Gruda with some help from other Albanian volunteer forces.
After being forced to retreat from Malesia, the Montenegrin forces attacked Ulqini and finally succeeded in taking some Albanian territory with the help of the Brits and the Ottomans.

Toskaliku and Murlani are entirely correct. The developments 1879/80 were a complete embarassment for the Montenegrins who had previously shown great success in Fundina, a victory which one might add would not have been possible if it wasnt for Albanian besa. Marko Miljanov had his back exposed entirely when fighting the Turks, and the whole of Kuci would have been ashes if the Albanians had chosen to attack. But Kelmendi and other clans gave Marko their word they wouldnt do such a thing ... he repaid them four years later by attacking Malesia where he was repelled at Rzhanica bridge, running with his tail between his legs.
The battle for Plav and Guci is also a good example of how the League dominated the Montenegrins. Marko Miljanov having divided his forces in two, one half commanded by him and the other by his brother, actually arranged a surprise attack. Despite this they could not break the Albanian forces, and at Nokshiq/Novsici it came to close range where yatagans replaced guns. The result was that the Montenegrins were routed, many drowned while trying to swim over the river of Lym (Lim). Following new year, a new battle took place, this time the Albanians were on the offensive, staging an attack from the northeast so as to divide the Montenegrin forces. The rest were attacked in a vicious offensive, resulting in the Montenegrin army being routed and fleeing to a nearby mountain pass where they planned to wage a defensive war (lol) ... but they were not pursued.
The battle of Rzhanica was already explained, as was Ulqin, which was only ceded to Montenegro because a combined effort by Turkish troops on the ground and an international fleet of British, French and Russian ships (20 warships) forced the local defenders to give up. The Montenegrins didnt even participate in these last fightings, and waited for everything to settle down until their "army" marched into the town "victorious".

Hmm interesting, care to share a source for this Rzanica battle? Excuse me if I'd like to know the details from someone other than an Albanian.
