Where are your parents from exactly Tsompane? In my opinion your parents are not exotic looking but they are surely no textbook Greeks...your mother doesnt look Greek in my opinion (which is not meant as an offense they are good looking people)...

It's not a "Greek" thing, in fact the darkening of hair as one gets older is quite common. In America it's referred to as "Baby blond." I also had blonde hair when i was younger and now it's brown. My brother had very light blonde hair and now it's a "dirty" blond for lack of a better term. BTW, nice pics OP.

Your father is Balkanian looking (could be Ukrainian, too)..northern Greek type, your mother....believe it or not...judging from the last (more current pic) I would have said Pontian. Very typical. I think Georgia fits pretty well...if you hadnt said Georgia I wouldnt be able to range her into a particular country...because Georgia as a country wouldnt have come into my mind. But I think Georgia seems to be the answer to this problem... The Greeks of Pontus did intermix with the local populations of the Caucasus and the southern Black sea coast...I guess thats where such look among Pontians comes from.

Logjik is right. I had hair just like yours until about the age of 11 when it started to solidify as dark. Its not a Greek thing.

So did I and it appears much of at least southern Balkans does and that is a region that does gravitate towards Greece so it could be a Greek thing (unless there are other regions where this occurs on a almost massive scale).
PS: Imagine it is several hundred years from now and Ottomans still rule. Those Cretan Greeks who converted to Islam by now speak probably only Turkish and think of themselves as Turks and by now have forgotten about their Greek origins and reply in the same manner to the same topic as you do now. Does that mean they stopped being Greek by origin? Of course not. It means that only emotionally (since ethnicity is not much more then that in effect) and by memory they stopped being. Change these for many of today's Albanians, Turks, Serbs, Bulgarians, Fyromians and southern Italians and you get the response to what happened to numerous people that previously belonged to Hellenic culture.

I am sure that if it does occur in other regions that the shades will surely vary and Sanskrit speaking Mediterranean race Aryans (originate from close by black sea region) might have easily introduced that among some northern Indians (bengalis includes...whom I doubt have it on a massive scale).

I notice the trend in Pakistanis and Indians on a good amount... your presuming w/o any prior reasons.
trying to turn it into a "Greek thing" is just your own mind yearning to become so. Its a general thing among people...

I had a dark blond hair colour as child...with about 15 it turned darker...and now...since 1 year or sth...it has turned still darker...almost black...my beard on the other hand is mixed...dark, light brown and even red hair growth there....around the chin especially. But thats nothing special, many have that...

Term "Saksonci" in Serbian is actually quite recent, we use to call those people Sasi.
