Hungarian-speaking Romanians and how besides Hungarian-speaking Romanians, there is another group of people that uses a language related to Hungarian as a mother tongue the Secui
This is my post for Oscar. Just read it.
Secui 700,000-750,000) are a distinct ethnic group to Hungarian-speaking Romanians and living predominantly in the counties of Covasna, Harghita and Mures.
Just in Romania, there are many strong language differences. Hungarian Dialects can be divided into nine regions, three of them being on Romanian territory: Central Transylvanian dialects (25-30% Romanian words), Transylvanian (Secui) dialects (55% Romanian words) and Csango dialects (7-80% Romanian words). The differences are so strong that I can't understand what people from other language speak.

Aren't the Szekely (Secui) Hungarian. Under Romanian laws they are considered Hungarians (as far as I am aware of). not only that here in Serbia a significant number of the Hungarians are of Szekely origin (here they are called Sekelji) and all of them declare themselves Hungarians.

Well, most of Secui are proud to be simply Secui. They don't think that are hungarians. Hungarian-speaking Romanians are divided into two parts: Magyars and Secui (60% - 750,000). I think in 3-4 years no Secui will say that he's a Hungarian.

Well, Romania is so much different than other countries. Romania is something unique. Hungarian-speaking Romanians are just now romanianized and that's so cool because now they can integrate better. This is EU that made that happend.

and by the way Oschi, the number of Hungarian-speaking Romanians in Romania is very fast decreasing.
There are 2 factors:
1. To know Romanian language is 100% needed. You can't live without it. 2. Most Hungarian-speaking Romanians say Hungarian is too hard to learn for them, it's a difficult language, they don't know how to write even,...and they prefer to go out with Romanian rich boys. 3. Secui language is becoming a reality, check the latest number of publications on this theme.

You are just frustrated Hungarian hating Romanian nationlist I dont believ you are Secui nd tell me if you are why you unhappyu about that the Szekely have a ptoud history and for those Romanised ones they have short Romanised history but they have long history as Hungarian Szekely so why you hate that so much.

all secui people hate hungarians for stoling old secui language and imposing something related with Hungarian language. All Secui people love now to be integrated into the Romanian culture because here they earn the EUROS, now that most Romanians have better jobs, more money, better villas, all secui wants to transform themselves into Romanians.

Listen under Hungary Szekely had their iown nation and lived well under Romania Szekely had nothing and faced xenophobic Romanian discrimination. Bonni I finished to argue with you cause nobody believe you anyway.

but all the Secui people trust me and think like me It's the power of Secui not to be dominated by magyars, Secui language exists and is alive! Secui culture and Secui nation exists and is different from Hungarian one. Emancipation of Secui from Hungarians is a reality.

Just a remark: there is no such thing as "Hungarian-speaking Romanians". They are either HUNGARIANS or SZÉKELY, which is also Hungarian. In fact, it is the Romanians whom Székely people hate. Not a very nice thing to hate an entire nation because of the stupidity of some people representing it, but this is reality.
As for the EU, it is a great thing, but if you are hoping Hungarians, and especially Székelys will assimilate, you are dreaming. As for Romanian being a must... hmmm. In Romania it certainly is, but Transylvania, especially Székelyföld... In Székelyföld, it is Hungarian which is a must, of course, given if you want its people to understand you. But in areas of Transylvania with a large Hungarian population, I believe it is enough to speak Hungarian. Shop assistants understand you if you want to buy something, and if you happen to wish to talk to a Romanian, you can always use a foreign language.
