The minimum wage is 300 euros?
That would make about 592TL
I have seen the payslips of the general cleaners they earn 900 TL PLus get paid another 500TL fof their govt health insurance...
If a Greek person actually moved to Turkey and worked there, they would earn around 1500/2000 TL if they were in the marketing, or sales industries, more if they were in medicine.
In fact after I wrote that I decided to check the diff wages of jobs in Turkey:
The captain of a ship earns 5000+ TL if he/she is international 6000 dollars
An accountaint earns 2000TL
Logistics manager 3000TL
Private security man 1850TL
Banker 1700TL
Insurance adviser 3500
Secretary Minimum wage
You can rent a 3 bedroom 140m2 apt in Ankara for 450 - 1500 TL depending on the location. Its cheap to shop, travel and eat, you can't help saving money and trust me, nobody I know spends as much money(after bills) on shoes, make up and clothes as I do!! I still end up with money in da bank LOL

This is the website I got all the info from... wowturkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=704759My bro in law is working for the Turkish Telecoms company, Internet development, sector and earns 4500 plus 1000tl Health Insurance. That would make about: 2285 Euros a month. His rent is 350 euros a month... He has a lovely house, with an amazing view, and all the mod cons u expect a young person in Ankara to have. His wife works part time and privately teaching English she earns around 1300TL (I'm guessing) about 700 Euros,,, so they earn together around 3000 euros, which is why they are constantly shopping, on holiday, and eating out.... I have found that the quality of life is very high in Turkey if you earn a good wage, so please don't assume just because we aren't in the EU we are all suffering, it all depends on whether u get a good job or not.

the wages aren't as high as Greece, but the costs aren't as high either.
Free health care in Turkey is the best ! You don't have to give co-pays or anything. And the wages in Turkey are after tax. I might even move there from the USA - as the wages are good, and u can save more money if you are educated.
