The correct names were Milinci, Jezerci. (sing. Milinac, Jezerac). This Μηλιγγοί/Εζερίται is funny!

And the above are only recorded in Greek sources and toponyms. Pyrrovic...you didn't answer...why are there all those Slavic tribes not included to Serbs but are put dinstictly...?

to answer your idiotic question: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Early_SlavsSo even if they were calling themselves by their clans, they were very close to Serbs and eventually became Serbs. (my wife comes from the Vojnici clan, as most Serbs from Krajnia. Vojnici used to rule over Ipiros..) PS i am the only greek which supports the "clean" blood of the greeks, yet i see many ppl trying to enforce a theory of "assimilated" slavs. Slavs were not assimilated. Slavs (at least from Ipiros, Morias) simply migrated to the North.

How could you support 'clean Greek blood' when your own kids are half Greek?

There is an Albanian family in Gjirokaster named Milingu. It would be interesting to know if there is a relation to the Slavic Milingoi of the Peloonnese. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melingoi

It is interesting that he mentions NO albanians in this book..... VERY INTERESTING. Not as interesting as this: ;D That's actually not interesting at all. Repeatedly disproven, would be a more appropriate adjective. Since the Serbs dwelled in the "White Serbia" area between Germany and Poland, and didn't have direct contact with the Romans. Then the Serboi were identified east of modern-day Ukraine in the 1st century AD, ect ect.

It is interesting that he mentions NO albanians in this book..... VERY INTERESTING. Not as interesting as this: ;D original: idiotic Serb, in church Greek, "doulos" (δουλος) means CHRISTIAN. When we baptize a child, the priest says "baptizetai o DOULOS tou Theou" (this SLAVE of the God is being baptized). Now regarding the shoes, i attribute this to the hate that Porfyrogenitos had for Serbs. It is apparent that from all slavs he feared Serbs the most. Anyways the book was written in 950AD and the above paragraph refers to Heraclius (614 AD), proving that Serbs is the oldest ppl in the balkans (by far).

What "christian" has to do with that paragraph...? He means doulos=slave. The matter is not what Porphyrogennitos wrote but if it has any etymological base, because it isn't a rule that everything written in medieval or ancient sources in correct. For sure in this paragraph he means doulos=slave, don't play the smart guy to people who don't know Greek...

^^^ Of course the word Serb and anything latin is 100% unrelated. Porfirogenitos apparently was not a Slav. He uses very funny words for many slav-related concepts and it is nearly impossible for the uninitiated reader to guess e.g. that Tervouniotes are the Montenegrins/Hercegovinians.
