Aadmin can you shed some light as to the background of the Albanian moderator "Tirana" back in 2002-2004. Was that a sock puppet of yours?

I can see how for Albanians and others they can get so negative about ethnicity since their own has much superficiality about it... much turncoating in the way of allegiances... fighting against to joining Turks, changing religion, attaching identity to Illyrians, Dardanians... I can see how they just become rejectionist. As I said before their identity errs more on the side of tribalism rather then ethnicity. We need to nurture the Albanians and think of them as our little brothers who need a hand catching up. In any case we should be thinking about how we can all get along better. Nurture from you? You have gotta be kidding. Former Yugoslavs are the most pathetic people in the Balkans. You managed to divided yourselves in 6 little tiny "nations" and languages whereas we Albanians maintained one single nation/ethnicity in the midst of all of our religious and regional divisions. Who the fvck commits mass murder in the midst of Europe 60 years after WWII? You are a pathetic excuse for a people.

@emperor Nice topic, I love it. Caslav KlonimirovicThe Albanian flag originates in the Castriota's flag. While the Serbian flag is an artificial mixture of the Byzantine flag and the Russian flag. About Montenegro, they use the military flag of Russia as their own flag, check this: Montenegro: Russian army:

Arsenije an Orthodox Roma can be a hard core Serb with no problem, there is a fine example in this very forum. I have yet to meet a roma that declares himself Albanian not that I have a problem with that.

Aadmin can you shed some light as to the background of the Albanian moderator "Tirana" back in 2002-2004. Was that a sock puppet of yours? If you are asking me if Tirane was an account behind which I personally was operating then answer is no. I do not speak Albanian. It was a person just like any one of you who came to the forum in one of its earliest stages. Rather eloquent in expression but some Albanians found him/her to be perhaps a tad controversial due to unique opinions that individual had. I certainly wish they were still around which I tried to convince this person. They felt at the end they were doing what can not be done which was same with I believe the name was True Illyrian (Albanian guy who felt Albanians are really Hellenes, rightfully so of course ;D ). PS: Tirane and True Illyrian, just to tell you Admin and many here miss you and wish you would come back at least on occasion. WE ALL MISS YOU. (same goes for all the people who do not frequent us anymore even ones who at times went on my nerves such as Shpata, Highduke etc)

If you are asking me if Tirane was an account behind which I personally was operating then answer is no. I do not speak Albanian. I was only asking because of your deicision to appoint anti-Albanians as mods in our forum. I understand that was part of your agenda though and you found the perfect tools. They may have spoken Albanian but they surely were not. PS: Tirane and True Illyrian, just to tell you Admin and many here miss you and wish you would come back at least on occasion. WE ALL MISS YOU. Please don't. You are not missed. Now someone like Bibleriot is indeed missed.

About Montenegro, they use the military flag of Russia as their own flag, check this: Completely off. Montenegro's current flag comes from the Petrovic-Njegos Dynasty which in turn was taken from the preceding Crnojevic dynasty of 1451. The Crnojevic dynasty finds their roots in Dusan's Empire, and of course, with the Nemanjici. Their eagle derives from the Nemanjici eagle from 1166. Obviously this eagle, then was adopted from the Byzantines. The Russian eagle was adopted by the Russian czardom in 1693. The Albanian eagle itself was originally adopted either from the Nemanjici dynasty, or the Crnojevici (which the Kastrioti family were deeply inter-married with). The 4 C's btw are not from the Byzantine BBBB, a common misconception. They're actually 'firesteels' an ancient tool used to make fire, and symbol of the sun for the ancient Sarmatians. That out of the Serb culture, managed to grow 4 other beautiful cultures is but a testament to the richness and grandness of Serbdom. Albanian culture on the other hand, is as rich as hospital jello. Balša II made a fourth attempt to conquer Durrës, an important commercial and strategetic center, which was ruled by Albanian Karl Topia. In 1382, Balša II began a war and seized Durrës. In 1385, the defeated Karl Topia, called on the Ottoman Murad I for support against the Serbs, the House of Balšić of the Principality of Zeta.Pathetic

@krivośanin
Any reference on your claims, especially on the flag?
Who told you these things?
@topic
Generally people grow up with the idea that ethnicities are kinda blood unions between many people. And then you can see that many people don't have an ethnicity, you see that many people change ethnicity, you see that many people don't even know correctly what an ethnicity means. But speaking again about the bases of the ethnicities, the blood(aka genetic) unions, you can see today in Albania that a brother killed the other brother for a goat, and I don't even wanna mention the lawsuits about the lands inherited by their dead father. Issues like this make people like me to understand that ethnicities are more fancy rather than real, when a person kills his brother, what can we expect from this person to give to his ethnicity?
I think that we have enough economic problems to think even about ethnicities, we need to unite the humanity rather than divide it without any reason, especially not something like ethnicities that are totally flexible and can appear as the people want to. There's no reason why ethnicities should exist, there's no reason why the humans should live divided, there's no reason why we should identify each others as different, when we are the same!

This issue you are addressing is a lot deeper than most think, yet I strongly believe this is something that needs to be taken in.
There is absolutely no reason why we should be differentiating each other from each other. For centuries the same game has been played on many societies, turning one against another. Why can’t we lean from these past experiences?
This issue or complex of seeking an “identity” is a lot deeper than blood or genetics. The “identity” aspect for every individual has been imposed on us at a very young age, affecting our psyche. We ask ourselves; what am I? Who I am? What am I doing and where am I going? In order for us to answer these questions we try to define ourselves in the most basic way; Nationality/ ethnicity, color and religion. We don’t consider for a second that these things have been “created” to divide us from one another, and basically conquer over all of us.

If around 90% of people (according to Zeitgeist movie precise number was 87%) do as others do then this to me means that ~90% are not logical enough to be truly individuals and think on their own which is the reason why social constructs such as ethnicities, religion and politics exist. Does that mean that reaming ~10% is logical enough or are some of them rebelling also due to their emotions.
Question is can people become logical enough? (Beyond the several percent that appears to be)

To become “logical” enough to see the reality that “ethnicity” and “culture” are all fabricated we should make an emotional connection to the fact we are human first.

The Albanian flag originates in the Castriota's flag. While the Serbian flag is an artificial mixture of the Byzantine flag and the Russian flag. About Montenegro, they use the military flag of Russia as their own flag, check this: Skanderbegs flag has it's roots in Byzantium as does ours. You guys have an identity that completely contradicts Byzantium whilst the Serbian flag represents our identity, beliefs and pride in Byzantium going back in a long continuum. It is in no way a contradiction of our identity as the Albanian one is. I mean you have to be really stupid not recognize this. Once again it's easy to see how you can loose faith in ethnicity amongst all the superficiality & contradiction in the Albanian identity, the flag being here an absolutely prime example. @topic Generally people grow up with the idea that ethnicities are kinda blood unions between many people. One world government seems pretty logical to me.

The flag represents those who choose to be represented by it, other than that. A flag is useless.
There is a contradiction in everyone’s identity. Are you full Serb? If so, how far back can you trace your roots? Did you just appear out of nowhere?
The point im trying to make is that your genetics like everyone else’s is connected to everyone else’s. Whether by a long shot, or not.
I am a full Serb for as far as I can tell, but it would be pretty ignorant of me to separate myself the fact that my genetics like everyone else’s’ have existed since the beginning. Before the invention of “identities”.

Lazar, you're a simple and angry person who has a shallow understanding of identity and ethnicity. Would you care to elaborate as to how you have come to this conclusion? Quite often you come up with some very uninspired conclusions on things, no offense but you can come across as 2-dimensional here. Be more counter-intuitive with your approaches and probably people won't see you this way. Sorry, I'm blunt I know.

It looks like it's just the mixed people and the culturally-disenchanted that claim everyone's mixed and ethnicity is bullsh*t.
