Hi people!
Is Erdogan doing a good job for Turkey in Libya, or is he blowing it diplomatically? What do the other political parties think of the way he's handling it?
What is your own view of the Libyan insurgency?
Far as I'm concerned, it's a good thing for Europe to have a stable ally that side of the Med; Libya provides as high a % of Europe's oil as Saudi does to the US, and that could be a useful extension of reserves should there be any interruption of supply through say ... the Straits of Hormuz.
Also, Gadaffi has been such a destabilizing influence in the region, supporting Somali pirates and the savage Janjaweed in Darfur/Sudan, threatening to nationalise oil investments should the oil price drop too much, and generally not fully appreciating the efforts and risk-taking of Total, BP, ConocoPhillips, Occidental, Agip, etc.

You might find this interesting, Bible:
Erdogan is one of the kind of Muslim leaders that Europe and America can bear and like: he is democratic, open and, most importantly, follows the neo-liberal norm that allow him to link with mainstream European concerns. England and Europe like these kinds of leaders.
