Having that much hate inside is clearly an emotional issue and it is not healthy for anyone who carries it especially if they are young people. Hate only exponentially increases stress levels and it eats person from the inside. I cant imagine someone being very hateful and living a fulfilling happy life.
I have been though to even respect the enemy because by doing so one is displaying the extent of their own moral persona. It is when we are tested that we display our own true essence which in itself can be improved upon.
Also Balkan people, whether some like it or not, are related people (if genetics has anything to say about it) and we should learn to at least coexist like civilized human beings.

To this I will add that any prolonged heightened emotion (hate being one of its more extreme forms in excessively negative mode) is NOT healthy for the person that is, I would say, 'infected' by it.
If anything such heightened emotions are paralyzing to say the least.
Guidance by the means of philosophy might very well increase logical output and decrease emotional output within the infected person and this, in my humble view, should decrease the amount of hate such person has. This should allow with time for the infected person to more effectively function within the society.

lets look at some definitions given for hatred en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HatredPhilosophical views
Philosophers have offered many influential definitions of hatred. René Descartes viewed hate as an awareness that something is bad combined with an urge to withdraw from it. Baruch Spinoza defined hate as a type of pain that is due to an external cause. Aristotle viewed hate as a desire for the annihilation of an object that is incurable by time. David Hume believed that hate is an irreducible feeling that is not definable at all.[1] 1. # ^ Royzman, E. B., Drake , C. & [Michael Jackson], P. (2005). From Plato to Putnam: Four ways to think about hate. In The Psychology of Hate by Sternberg, R. Words like bad, pain, desire and feeling all point to one word - emotions. David Hume seems to be closest to what my understanding of hate is. Hate is an extreme negative emotion and any emotion can not be definable. Emotion I believe is our primordial connection to nature. In its pure form it lack any logic and it is fully comparable to a newborn baby or a person fully void of any logic. Akin to a weather pattern, water waves, winds in a sense that it appears to behave as a wave frequency. It often appears reactant to outside stimulus (Full moon influences ocean patterns and also, it appears, emotions of people and this being only ONE of MANY natural stimuli together with cloudy days, sunshine, rain, certainly other people, etc). So this would explain why "Baruch Spinoza defined hate as a type of pain that is due to an external cause". As I fail to see any potential positive developments out of actively utilizing heightened emotions in everyday life I believe best is to plain ignore them as they are basically useless and potentially very harmful. This is of course if you are a capable of having your logical self place your emotional self under a sort of leash.

Psychoanalytic views
In psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud defined hate as an ego state that wishes to destroy the source of its unhappiness.[2] More recently, the Penguin Dictionary of Psychology defines hate as a "deep, enduring, intense emotion expressing animosity, anger, and hostility towards a person, group, or object."[3] Because hatred is believed to be long-lasting, many psychologists consider it to be more of an attitude or disposition than a temporary emotional state. 2. # ^ Freud, S. (1915). The instincts and their vicissitudes. 3. # ^ Reber, A.S., & Reber, E. (2002). The Penguin dictionary of psychology. New York: Penguin Books. Again lets focus on key words displayed here such as "wishes, unhappiness, intense emotion expressing animosity, anger, hostility" which all combined point to that one word = emotions. This of course becomes an attitude if emotions are not subdued. See your emotions as a wild side of you, side that is not domesticated. Unleashing it means resorting to your primordial side for guidance. This would be equivalent to asking an average chimp (which is a nice example of a heightened emotion taking a form of a particular primate) on how to solve a calculus problem. Civilization was not built on emotions (religions are on the other hand) but despite of them. Primordial emotions are useless within it and therefore paralyzing. It is them that; - stop you from accomplishing a task, - make you doubt yourself, - distort the otherwise clear view of reality, - make you, in one word, unrealistic. - give us stress and make us then more susceptible to sickness and finally - will make you go crazy if left fully unchecked.

I say cherish your emotions by caging them and reserving them for ONLY those who deserve them (close family members, spouse or kids and even for them only when they deserve them). Here I am only talking of positive emotions only.
Negative emotions, on the other hand, are the most destructive force that human kind has ever faced in my view. So simply put, fully cage them. With that said, hate being probably the most intense of negative emotions should be regarded as a potentially malignant disease. Unlucky one that has been diagnosed with terminal cancer is most likely at the point of no return. Just wondering just to what extent stress and heightened negative emotions propelled the advance of such type of cancer within such a hypothetical person. Lets not materialize this vision into a reality.

A pleasant thought, but isn't every emotion, in the right proportion, healthy? Every thing in nature has its counterpoint (maybe except god) and so if we must love then let us also hate.
Should we not hate those who wish bring all manner of evil upon us and exterminate us?

Hey, Admin, let me ask you this then. You have seen how some discussion here are going, especially between Bulgarians and certain members. What is the better option - to call all representatives of this ethnicity morons, jackasses, etc just because one of them is a total idiot in my opinion or to keep my hard feelings to this person without involving the rest of vhis countrimates? You see, man, it is not that simple. And most of us don't have vthis hellenic wisdom, which makes us people of flesh and blood, with certain emotions and reactions. How do you say we should proceed?

Should we not hate those who wish bring all manner of evil upon us and exterminate us? Lets assume that I am facing an opponent that hates me and wishes me evil. It is safe to say that such opponent would have intense emotions towards me. These emotions would be in extreme negative mode but they would be intense emotions nonetheless. This means that such opponent would not be able to analyze the situation for what it really is since such intense emotions would block him from doing so. Granted I do not have the same problem it would be safe to assume that I am facing at least somewhat of a handicapped (lets call it logically challenged) opponent. Who has the advantage? One who resorts to such name calling on a regular basis is no different to me then a child displaying bullying attitude irregardless of their age or ethnicity obviously. To judge a whole nation based upon actions of one person is plain illogical and thus void of any real substance. I should (granted I can subdue my emotions of course ) treat such person patiently as I would a child and show them the error of their ways. By reacting in the same manner as them that only re-enforces their negative emotions and keeps them in the bullying child mode. By reacting as an adult you maintain higher moral ground and you eventually break the cycle. If anything they will start feeling foolish for what they have done since their emotional side is not being re enforced and their thus logical side will thus become more dominant. See it like this, arguing with someone who is very emotional is like arguing with someone who is seriously void of any substantial logic so even if you win is it really a victory?

I believe people in general are moving towards a more rational manner of interacting with each other. This forum is hardly representative of the majority of people they claim to speak for.

That's the thing, there are too many implied assumptions in your line of thought. You assume that just because one is feeling the intense emotion of hate, then one is also, perforce, not in possession of his highest mental faculties. That may be true in the case of teenage love, but is pretty far from true in other spheres of life. Hate is good. It's like pain which serves as a warning of impending loss or death.

AAdmin,I'm full of hatred. It is like saying I am filled with extremely negative energy and my stress levels can easily reach an all time high just by outside factors alone. Outside factors which are not even most likely aware of you yet you give them so much attention. I believe people in general are moving towards a more rational manner of interacting with each other. This forum is hardly representative of the majority of people they claim to speak for. It might be that some are not logical enough to even entertain an option of "a more rational manner of interacting with each other". I hope I am wrong but it doesn't seem to be the case. Judging by some stats around 90% of the people are followers (as displayed in one of the Zeitgeist movies which uses 87% as a precise number). Which means 90% might not have a capacity of "a more rational manner of interacting with each other" since they need others for what is obviously an emotional support (in other words their emotions are what dominates who they are and therefore dominate their logic). Hate is clearly a form of an extreme emotion as it is love. Both possess 'tunnel vision' (basically means one sees only one side of the spectrum or, most likely, what they want to see). With hate you only see negative aspects of someone or something (usually greatly exaggerated if not even imagined) and with love one sees only positive aspects of someone or something (usually greatly exaggerated if not even imagined). Neither one displays reality for what it is just like the case of teenage love as you mentioned. One who is possessed by emotions this extreme can not be deemed as logical no matter what age they might have. One who is possessed by emotions this extreme can not be deemed as logical no matter what IQ level they might have since such emotions have a very real potential to neutralize any intelligence due to tunnel effect. The stronger such emotion grows the closer such person approaches being fully depleted from having any access to any concrete reality and thus enters early stages of insanity (just as Toskali's response shows although he does that for attention and show as many other Balkanoid kids here do).
