Yes, it is to a certain point, and as the union will grow closer in the far future, national sovereignty will suffer further. This is needed to achieve a closer and more efficient economical and security cooperation. I support this idea. Those countries that are against such measures should take a stand on this issue. Don't worry, though. Nothing will escale into a military conflict. EU membership is a privilege, not an obligation.

I find the fact that a union in which membership is a "privilege" has no designated policy and method for which to handle countries that want to leave the union very suspicious.
Also, lets pretend that the EU doesn't infringe on national sovereignty. The fact that it is economically dying is reason enough to not want to join. Not only is it dying economically, but it is built on economic foundations that are absolutely retarded. The Euro? How on earth can a currency based on a German or French economy function in an economy like Bulgaria and Greece without caused economic turmoil?

We don't have to pretend that the EU doesn't infringe on national sovereignty because it does, and it should do that in order to survive. No one argued otherwise. Yes, the EU has many flaws that it must fix in order to prosper. There's no doubt about that. The economy is bad, but we're in this together. Even if Greece would leave the EU (which would be a silly thing to do), eventually--even if it's far in the future--it would rejoin, just like the UK did after first leaving what was then EEC.

^Its ludicrous. And I don't know why Croats would have to enter a union with us, why can't they just strive be independent of us and the greater powers? Makes no sense to me. QFT. There is a difference between Croatian people and Croatian elites. Traditionally these two were always opposed to eachother. Just look back in Cro history. Croatian elite wanted union with Hungary , Croatian people wanted to stay independent. The elite Croatian nobles in Dalmatia get in bed with Venice while the venetians slaughter Croats in the countryside and islands. Bosnian nobles court the Turks. Even great Croatians like Ban Jelecic didn't want real independence for Cro while the majority of people agreed with Starcevic ( for real independence). Croatian intellectuals and elites throw their own people under the bus by forcing them into a union with the first Yugoslavia ( SHS). A minority of Croatian people in WW2 supported Pavelic & Tito. Most of the rest didn't want either but the allied nations really didn't care about some small Balkan nation so most chose Tito as the lesser of the two evils. Croatian people finally get heard in 1991 but for their trouble are met with guns and tanks from the fourth largest army in Europe ( Yugoslavia). Pretty shitty , eh? Predictably Tudjo turns into a dictator and can no longer milk the war for his popularity. So Croatians try the other side , the so called 'left' and they get a bunch of those same elites that want to further their own careers in 'broader european politics' by throwing their people to the wolves . Typical Croatian elitist behavior. So its not hard to see this is an unfortunate constant plague with Croatians and I don't see it stopping anytime soon.

^^ I'll add to that even our most powerful king , Petar Kresimir IV executed and expelled Croatians the practiced mass in their own language all to please the Vatican. I mean the list goes on and on. You'd think the elites have learned something of their failure from history but not the case. Croatian leaders suck.
Tito , Pavelic , Tudjman ( from 1993 onwards) , Mesic ( during his presidency), Jadranka Kurva Kosor , Josipovic , Dapic , etc.
