Bulgarian is chopped up Serbian, so i was speaking fluent bulgarian in the 1st place. bulgarian is the first recorded slavic language, attested 4-5 CENTURIES before Serbian so as far as I m concerned Serbian is chopped up Bulgarian... Why? Because before starting to write in Serbian, the Serbs wrote in "classic Bulgarian". In 15th century the Bulgarian writer Konstantin Kostenechki reintroduced the classical Bulgarian features in their writings.
