^you can stay at Pyrros's house in Janina ....but the roof is leaking a bit if it rains .....he would be proud to have a serb breath in his ancestral Vlach - Albanian stone house he would be extra proud and make a monument in your name for his front yard if you simply fornicate with your serbian gf/bf within his walls (if no fornication going on at least take a crap in the corner of your choice ) but hurry up before some Bulgarians beats you to it ,you know how that goes .....

I recently spent three weeks in Greece. Nine days in Athens, 5 days on cruise and 7 days in Thessaloniki, visiting various villages, towns in both Attica and Macedonia. I did not see anyone that was really hurting. Normal amount of gypsy beggars. Everyone going about shopping and eating at the taverna's like nothing really bad is happening. What the Greeks are very passionate about is talking politics. Oh boy, don't even get them started. The only difference I saw was a very large increase in Paki, Bangi and Orientals.
I made many new friends in Greece. ALL Greeks were happy, friendly and open.
I am proud to be Greek.

I watched this video from Sweden concerning the Greek problems. I liked it because it did not center on one area of opinions, but a large area, from politicians, to every day people. It gave you as better understanding of what people are saying as a whole, and not one sided.

I had no idea that the situation was this exagerated. Since this is the case, the documentary I posted doesn't seem to give justice to the real-sitatution.
My bad, my fellow Greeks.

that delicatessen shop owner was a jackass in that interview. that's the kind of Greek that makes me burn my greek passport. now seriously, all the videos above are crappy from many perspectives. especially the one who says that greeks work 12 hours/day!!! LMAO!!! except if he means cheating and lying 24x7 in which case i agree. Listen, idiot. You do not know what you say. I have friends in Athens that are Athens police (three friends), Supervisor and waiters in tavernas (6 friends) and one that has a nice shop in Plaka. They all work minimum 13 hour days, 6 days a week. Every place I saw in Athens were open from morning to late evening. Laugh your f****** ass off all you want. Go back to Serbia and shut your mouth until you know what you say.

There sure is an economic crisis in Greece and all of EU, even in France and Germany. But the media seem to levitate around Greece only, and yes, they exaggerate. While there are some Greeks that are struggling now, they were already on the brink of struggling before the crisis. Most if not all Greeks are merely tightening their belts, conserving on resources, and spending wisely.

By the way, a nice inexpensive place to eat/drink is the Ice Grill in Monastiraki, Athens. Nice crew working there.

Mmmmm that looks good.... My friend was in Athens last week he says the night life is just as alive as before... everyone is out and about... in the day it's a little bit quieter but nothing like the media portrays it.

The media sucks. That is right, Kanaris. I think it is quieter in the day in Athens because everyone is busy working as much as they can, if they are working at all. And yes, the night's are quite active, with most of the taverna's staying open till well past midnight. We would enjoy the sites during the day and eat late so we can hang with the best of them at night. On the weekends, the shopping areas and promenades are jammed.
