57 wow, that is old . Neverless, I have also been spared the 'riff raff' as you say as I was born and raised in the West, and have received a western education...but this is not about riff raff now is it... Not for me no. I care more about learning more about the region so I can share with my children. I want to be able to answer at least some basic questions they may have about my side of the family. wel maybe this you know... illyrians and trachians ... where merly same... from first balkan people... toegether with dacians... till you bulgarized

Does any one here know the origin of this name: Stojanovski The proper name is Stoyanov, servian devils change it to Stojanovski. Stoya-Стоя means "I stay" in Bulgarian !

Perhaps read some books, some web pages and/or visit Macedonia. I don't think you'll learn much from here unfortunately, unless of course you want the Albanian perspective...

Bulgarians from Macedonia has nothing to do with servians ! Rebulgarisation can't be stopped ! There are 1,417 Bulgarians in Macedonia as recorded in the last census. Let's not get carried away here.

Sure. I am even surprised by the generousity of the macedonian government to allow such a huge number of people to declare themselves Bulgarians.

This is not good for either Bulgaria or Macedonia.
