If Macedonians are Serbs, then why is the Macedonian language so close to Bulgarian, and why are so many Macedonian names the same as Bulgarian names? I am wondering, could it not be possible that Macedonians share roots to both? I guess I just don't understand a lot of the Balkan issues regarding origins and differences. Every one is quick to accuse some one of stealing their heritage and so on. I would love to see the Balkans all of them get a long better! Bulgarian blood w/serbian politics simple as that if thats you in avatar .....your a close twin to my brother inlaw first time I was in Bitola was 1970 I was 8 years old ,now its like 4 times the size

FYROMians are Serbs because: GORANI PEOPLE The Gorani people speak South Slavic, a local dialect known as "Našinski" or "Goranski", which is part of a wider Torlakian dialect, spoken in Southern Serbia and part of Macedonia. The Slavic dialect of the Gorani community is known as Gorançe by Albanians. Within the Gorani community there is a recognition of their dialects being closer to the Macedonian language, than to Serbian. The Torlakian dialect is a transitional dialect of Bulgarian and Serbian whilst also sharing features with Macedonian. The Gorani speech is classified as an Old-Shtokavian dialect of Serbian (Old Serbian), the Prizren-Timok dialect. It is disputed though whether Torlak is part of the Bulgarian language or a Serbo-Croat dialect? it must be Serbo-Croat because: Their ancestors first settled Carașova in the 13th and 14th centuries from northwestern Bosnia. They formed a community in the northern plateau of the Caraș river, in seven villages, the oldest, Carașova, being mentioned in the 13th and 14th centuries while the rest are first mentioned in the 17th century. How can Krasovani croats speak Torlak when they come from NW Bosnia.

^ forget about this. All Slavic languages are just dialects of Serbian. All European languages had branched out and differentiated from Serbian, Serbian is central to all Euro langs.

To answer this topic. Macedonians (Fyromians) are Serbs prior to the settlement of Khan Asparuch (Mongol-Turk) believed in our Serbian Sun god Kolo! These Serbs never had Tengri, an East Asian belief system.
