After Kosova's independence, Serbia and its supporters have been constantly using Resolution 1244 to justify that Kosovo is apparently Serbia. This is simply something that is used to save the face of Serbia. In Resolution 1244, it states that Yugoslavia cannot be split up. It does not state Serbia, in which Kosova gained independence from. Yugoslavia ceased to exist after Montenegro gained independence in 2006. After 1 year of negotiations, the Russians obviously trying to keep Kosova as part of Serbia and the West trying to make Kosova independent, nothing was resolved. So, during elections, Serbia was busy with elections. This was the perfect opportunity for Kosova to declare itself independent. The only reason why states do do not recognize Kosova are because they claim to eventually will, have their own internal territorial problems, or have great economical, diplomatic, or military relations. Serbia does not recognize it due to years of their own people being caught up in false propaganda (informing the citizens even since childhood that Albanians are "land stealers" or "Shiptars"(a derogatory term against Albanians)), similar to how the people under the Nazi regime were brainwashed into thinking Jews were inferior. So this all leads to a storm. This storm will not clear up anytime soon, but will be dark and rain buckets of water that will turn into floods and wash the people away; it will wash them up and will eventually dry up and end.

Kosovo declared its' independence because it got the instructions from the United States to do so, in particular Albright and Hollbrook. Don't think for a moment the Albanians did that on their own.
There is no propaganda nor secret as to what really happened in Kosovo. Anyone truly interested in investigating what really went down comes to the same conclusion that the Serbs acted according to what any other nation in Europe would have done. It was land-grabbing, but it wasn't the Albanians who did the grabbing. Kosovo is a NATO-state on all accords. Occupied Serbian land in the hands of Brussels.

Serbia would have acted militarily without a doubt. What do you mean "land grab"? Albanians are the descendents of Illyrians and have inhabited the region long before tge Slav migration and Serbian settlement in Kosovo. In fact, Serbia settled north of Kosovo, which disproves that Kosovo is the "cradle of Serbia". If NATO wasn't there, Serbia would send its police and army for a second round of massacres and rapes. Kosovo is the young, weak child not capable of defending his/herself while Serbia is the big bully. Your Albanophobic mentallity has no basis, no evidence. Your argument is like the shade of black. It's not a color, it's rather a lack of it. Oh, and to say that Serbia didn't make propaganda during the war really shows your ignorance.

The Slavs built their own states, the Albanians were given theirs. Huge difference chum.

yea they built it at the expense of others Not at all, it was always at their own expense. Slavs sacrificed the most for Slavs, just as the Greeks did for Greece, the Albanians that chose to be apart of that instead of Albania's did so at their own desire. They didn't have to be apart of it and quite frankly they didn't even have to be accepted at all either.

Police in Kosova arrested a Serbian terrorist with explosives Kosova police arrested a Serb national suspected of planning a terrorist attack, the interior minister told a press conference on Friday. The suspect, from Belgrade, was arrested on Thursday evening with 12.2 kilos of explosives in his car in a street in the capital Prishtina where many Western embassies are located, Skender Hyseni said. “We suspect the clear aim of this person was to commit a terrorist attack,” he told journalists. Hyseni said he could not reveal details of potential targets due to an ongoing investigation.
