Montenegro hunts Karadžiæ in mountain resort 22 October 2007 Montenegro's special police searched for Hague fugitive Radovan Karadžiæ in Mt. Žabljak this weekend, reports say.
Podgorica daily Dan, close to the country's ethnic Serb parties, said today that the raid started Friday at dawn, to finish Saturday evening with no results.
Special anti-terrorist police blocked all access roads to the mountain resort checking vehicles, according to the same source, while regular police helped the search of the woods near the Black Lake.
But police in Podgorica would neither confirm nor deny these reports for Beta this morning.
The Hague Tribunal yesterday announced that the prosecution believes Karadžiæ, one of the four remaining war crimes suspects at large, was hiding "somewhere in the border area between Bosnia, Montenegro and Serbia."

Funny. Right before the independence referendum was signed the EU refused to sign the SAA with Serbia and Montenegro because Mladic and/or Karadzic were not extradited. Now, recent comments made by the Hague say that Karadzic is in the region wher Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia meet and not only that apparently Montenegrin police are seaching after him. This would suggest that he is in Montenegro, and yet the EU has signed an SAA with Montenegro. Seems to me that the EU has once again shown it's hypocrisy.

^ The EU can lick giant hairy testicles. They are no good to anyone in the Balkans. Besides, if they really wanted to catch Karadzic, they would have done so already.
