exactly as they wanted. To the ounce and the gram.
anyway, this is not what I meant. I mean something much deeper than contemporary politics.
21st century, half of Belgrade doesn't have sewers. Biggest small business in Serbia is pumping out the septic tanks.
In Greece there was no sewage network at all prior to 1980. Then mama west poured huge amounts of money to infrastructure. By many means, EU always found ways to subsidize Greece. Huge money. That's how sewage systems are built.

So Greeks found a way, Serbs didn't. Read this article. Bogota which was until 2000's considered worst city to live in the world is now better than Belgrade.

WE WERE OBLIGED TO, OTHERWISE NO MONEY. Serbia is many times better than anything Greek. Lets be real please. Otherwise I would not bother. I am not a fun of Bulgaria/Serbia/Slavs because you guys are pretty or anything. I am fan for the WHOLE PACKAGE.
If Greece wasnt in EU, and no wars, sanctions, demonization, embargo, etc had happened to Serbia, Serbia would be 100 times better than Greece. Please.
Wanna know amounts ??
More than 500+++ BILLION Euros poured to Greece one way or another.
Compare this with the 200++ BILLION damage that west did to Serbia alone and then we'll talk.
Compare 500 - (-200) = 700 BILLION EUROS DIFFERENCE .....
You can't pretend this difference is not in the room prijatelju ....

Bottom line, you used the money to build what you need. Milosevic used the money he got to promote criminal, fragmentation of society, fake inflation, forced privatization, illegal tobacco trade etc. Serbian people re-elected his disciples later on in 2012. Bottom line we're now more poor than during democrats and Milosevic's Serbia is more poor than its predecessor. I mean stats say it all.
PS. They asked for Russian and Chinese help only when they managed to f*ck up all the agreements they made with the West because their political power in Serbia started to weaken due to unpopularity of their measures (zero know-how).

come on, the west would make an agreement during the day, and order the opposite (break the deal) during the night. Of course the west put the worse agents in charge in the first place (Milosevic, Tudjman, Izetbegovic, Karadzic)

Russia and China should have protected Slavic (non-SaxonGothic) lives much sooner than push came to shove. Once they didn't they lowered their own value by that.

Why should've Russia or China involve in things that weren't their business, especially because involving would get them nothing important?

domination, influence are the only important in this saxo world. I am puzzled how ULTRA intelligent Slavs cannot understand such basic stuff. Protecting smth and then identify with this increase your value.
I mean the last illiterate arbanovlah would score better man...
Maybe this naivety of yours is something divine, something superior. I still feel great respect for you and Serbs, *EVEN* for that. I cannot explain, other than you are just the genuine GOOD people.
this brings me to my newest theory ...... which I just concieved.

Because, as of this moment, I don't see public things (as in publicly owned goods, institutions or companies, in short things that SHOULD matter to every citizen of Serbia) around here heading in the right direction. They are so destroyed by our people themselves to be unrecognizable if you compare them to 1970's for example. That's why I like countries that realized they are not to be helped by anyone but their own people and they started to invest in themselves, countries like Ireland, Finland, Iceland, Iran, China, or Colombia. I'm not talking about economy only. I already opened a thread on bad things in Serbia and you didn't agree with me on many things, and from my perspective that's ok. I can agree people can have different views, especially when they have positive critics but I don't see why do you like to put it all on foreigners. When I recognize something good I acknowledge it and I am proud of it. But before being proud I am very rational, and right now that brings me to really sad conclusions. I'm aware of sad reality of the country and state of the Serbian people today. And I cannot exclude that major role was played by our own people, the citizens of Serbia or Yugoslavs that were once considering themselves as Serbian citizens. That being said of course, I don't think we're the worst nation in the world. There are many worse. I just want the most basic bad things out, and there are too many bad things about us. Then we can talk about foreign politics, whether left wing politicians are better than right wing and so on.

difference between 70s and now.
70s : west gave loans to ex-JU and endorsed production and international commerce. + positive advertising.
now : west denies any access to funds and to any sort of international commerce. further fragments the slavic backbone.
If you are trying to find the root of the cause in Serbs you are gonna waste many years in vein.
