How about u go to the Letnica church in Kosova and ask her closest friend, Dom Lush Gjergji, he told me great stories about her, and she has done more about albania then u think or you can see, ..even Fidel Castro who is a atheist was put into tears after talkin to her!

Of course she had Albanian origin, but that doesn't make her Albanian. You need to distinct between origin and personality. The many propaganda placards, statues etc. in Albania and Kosovo have made people believe that she is an 'Albanian nun'.

what do u mean? She didn't do much about albania because a guy with the name of Enver didnt let her in! But doesn't mean she is not a albanian personality...even the pope said to her in Shkoder, "These are your people!" And how can she be a Albanian nun, when she is a INTERNATIONALLY famous women...or james belushi is not albanian because he is known outside of albania, thats your thinking!

Ilir, you have proven your stupidity and once again you fail to distinct between origin and national belonging.

Mother Theresa may be Albanian, but her fame has very little to do with Albania.

Mother Theresa Albanian? Not a chance! She was ethnically Albanian and there is no doupt about it, i think you dont understand what "Albanian" means, Albanian is an "Ethnic Concept" and not nationality! you can have what ever citizenship but you are still an ethnic Albanian. Ethnicity means people belonging to same ancestry!

Yeah, that's what I said. Albanian by origin, but she is not an Albanian in that sense that we could claimed her as one of our own. She was an Indian nun, no matter what her ethnicity was.

I dont really get you,you dont make much sense, ofcourse we can claim her, for simple reason because she was an "Ethnic Albanian". Btw,you are from Kosova right? well atleast your parents must be,with your logic your parents/you are not Albanians but serbians coz they had/have serbian citizenship and not Albanian! and why i get the feeling that you try to avoid things that has to do with christian albanians? are you from religious family?

Mother Theresa of Calcutta was an Indian nun of Albanian ethnicity. You really need to get a grip and create some little understanding why she can't be claimed by us Albanians. Simply by her ethnic Albanian background is not enough. Luan Krasniqi for example is an German boxer, not an Albanian boxer even though he has Albanian origin.

Nobody doubts that she was an ethnic Albanian. But some are saying she didn't have an Albanian coscience. Those people need to consider the fact that she was brought up in an Albanian environment (in Skopje if I'm not mistaken) until the age of 18 - how can they dismiss the effect that those years had on her personality?! Especially when considering the fact that when she left, she did so to become a missionary - she chose her path when she was Albanian in every sense of the word. The other thing you guys need to consider is that her father was very active in Albanian politics, and was even murdered because of that. So she had even more reason to have Albanian values/conscience.
