Do you or someone you know fights the anxiety disorder? How many (if any) people do know who suffers from it and what do they do in life? How do they fight with it?

At least some of these disorders are mainly of recent origin and appear made up.
Being anxious, bored, inpatient, stressed has become what now? Disorders!
And what is needed, mind altering drugs ?
Millions of kids in US (especially boys) given Prozac* (pure fluoride* for most part) *Flouride is among the most toxic elements to human body and especially mind.
ADHD Doesn't Exist
YOU ARE NOT DEPRESSED, STOP IT!
In a nutshell an average human being is composed of two parts, their emotional (1) part and their
rational (2) part. I would say that these so called disorders are when #1 clearly overpowers #2 and you do not have a mechanism as far as how to stop/block or at least control this.

Good info. Also, as a member of 3rd world country I can say it exists, but its not being diagnozed, nor recorded.

You live where you live. You got two options : a) leave Serbia and learn first hand what depression trully feels like (e.g. in the whest) b) stay where you are and pray and try to be a good person with HOPE and LOVE. (forget about rationalism and "logic" and other BS like that. Tak it from a mid aged DBA and ex-programmer who cannot feel time pass fast enough to go to pension)
Loss of HOPE is the BIGGEST sin. It should be banned by freaking law.
We suffer from SAKSANIK illness cause we have forgotten PRAVOSLAVNA VJERA. As long as we keep away from our Orhtodox faith we will be lost lone isolated sheep in the middle of wolves.

Now , why am I preaching those things, when myself I cannot stand 5 mins in freaking Athens???
Because I have the same problem. I must find the good in Athens, just like Serbs are able to find the good in Athens.
WHy Serbs are unable to find the (much bigger) good in Serbia, is just another pathological disorder.

In my case its not really just about the country. Contrary to what it seems, I, in fact, don't get anxious over many things I should have. But they are still catching my attention. I think my anxiety is more about profession and the way of life software engineering brings upon you. Also, people in general under appreciate the difficulty of these kind of jobs where you are 12 hours sitting, thinking and writing software. That's why I (and many other people) have huge need to have things simplified by the country (better organization of all city services) because in that case I'm not efficient and I can't finish what I planned.

Back in my Bulgaria days, when my boss asked me back in Greece, I demanded a raise in my salary. When he asked why, I replied because this is the toughest job in the world. Harder and much more demanding than any medical or other scientific profession. We need to always learn. To always prove that our algorithms are right. That our software runs in O(N) and not in some exponential formula. That our schemas and DBs are correct, normalized, that the data are protected against human, user and programmer , (or even worse hibernate) abuse. (I fear hibernate the most, the fact that I have not banned it here is a form of altruism to the younger programmers). That the replication works as expected. That the system is tuned, DB is tuned. The whole stack works as expected. The last patches from github are applied and passing the tests. Having rigid test strategy. etc... Add to this the need to be self promoted to "manager" as the time passes by, add wife, add kids. Life overnight becomes the mount Everest. If we add "bosses" and "customers" it quickly becomes mount Everest with Hell it self on top of that.
I say, what you feel is 101% natural. A brilliant young scientist like you is to be expected to feel this way. We lack spirituality. We lack basic knowledge of psychology. We don't credit enough those fields, but they are freaking REAL and we cant pretend otherwise.
I'd say you better visit some Psychologist / Therapist (one Serbian lady we knew in Athens was absolutely fantastic, but she was kind of young and lacked the physical appearance/size that could enforce certain thoughts and behaviors to a kid). Don't fear that this signifies you are not normal.
If we are exposed to digital world 12 hrs/day as you say, and our brain goes through the most severe stress, there is nothing that the body itself can do to cope with it.

I know and agree with all the things you said, but I have no plans to become team lead or manager unless I start my own company, or in case I become shareholder of some. Also one of the main reasons I got into this job is because I don't like too much communication with the people, so I am fine with that. What I am not fine is the reoccurring need to work 50+ hours per week, but I see other companies in my industry do that as well.

50+ is heaven compared to what young programmers go through in Athens. They work like 9 to 9. And then seek like mad some job in UK/Whest. But still 50 is a freaking hell.
Now I am rescuing a stupid remote DB and its freaking 21:30 .... funk...
A programmer should work max 7 hours.

I really don't classify as young programmer. I've been doing this professionally for over a decade, regardless of my not so old age. The reason I said 50+ hours is because on a 'normal' days (usually just the beginning of project) we have less work ironically. As the software comes closer to release working hours easily jump to 70 hours and that doesn't include the working weekends or lunch breaks Another thing is I never have empty room between two projects unlike some big companies here, so when one project is done tommorow I do next. To understand how it is in games industry I'll tell you I'm going to use my first free day from this year's vacation this week.
