Does Montenegro have the best football attacking line up of all the ex yu republics, With Vucinic,Jovetic,Brzanovic,Vukcevic and Purovic, they are all hot property, i think both Vucinic and Vukcevic would get into the Serbia or Croatia side. Shame about the rest of the team though, i think me and Partizan have a good chance of playing center back for Montenegro they suck. I also think there should be balkan cup, it would be like the african nations, it would mean we could fight our wars on the pitch rather than in real life.

I think you may be right. However only the attack for Montenegro seems to be good...............the rest of the team is just Serbias B team who couldnt get a game for Serbia.
Jovetic went to school with my cousins. Hes def one for the future!

vucigorski stop talking about serbia because serbia's entire team is trash compared to MNE
Yea deki, a balkan cup would definatley be cool, and it'd be a healthy way for the balkan countries to express their nationalism
Vukcevic is really improving as a player now with him on Sporting Portugal, making a bunch of goals and game-winners
Jovetic is good too he's showing real talent in the u-21 league.
Vucinic though is definatley ahead of the pack, he's become a inseperable part of the Roma team, he's the next totti.

"vucigorski stop talking about serbia because serbia's entire team is trash compared to MNE" You know less about Football then you know about Montenegro ahahaha Serbia actualy has a very good team of individuals, who sadly cant pla together. Lets compile a list : Stojkovic- Benfica Vidic- Man Ut Dragutinovic-Seville Krstajic-Shalke 04 Ivanovic-Chelsea Tosic-Bremen Kuzmanovic-Fiorentina Kolarov- Lazio Jankovic-Palermo Stankovic-Inter Zigic-Valencia Pantelic- Berlin Now compare that to Montenegros. All Montenegros players are from Buducnost etc ahahahah PS. Vukcevic is a Serb His dad is director of the biggest Serb club in Montenegro : ZETA!

I can see Montenegro pulling off an upset or two in international games. But, yeah after those few good players, the talent level really drops off. It is a small country, putting together 20 or 11 really good players at any one time is almost impossible.
A Balkan Cup couldn't happen anytime soon (the Partizan-Zrinjski game proved that much) and it wouldn't benefit all teams equally. Sure, it'd be good for countries like Montenegro and Bosnia that cannot qualify for any other tournaments. It would be a waste for countries like Croatia and Serbia that usually participate in World/Euro Cups. Getting rich European clubs to lend their players to the national association for ANOTHER tournament would be really hard.

Hey Marko, as much as it pains me to say this as im a hug fan of Serbian football, Serbia as a team are quite poor, i honestly don't see them qualifying for a major tournament in a long time.

^^ I can see them qualifying if they find themselves in an easy qualifying group and solve their internal problems. They easily have the best individuals of all the former Yugo Republics (And there i say it all of Eastern Europe). I mean some of their players have really earned their stripes in the highest leagues of Europe this season. Croatia are easily the best performing team from ex-Yu...............but i still think theyre crap.

Whenever Serbia has missed qualifying for the Euro or World Cup they were 1 or 2 points short of doing so (and the games which would've made a difference were winnable games otherwise... losing to Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, or not being able to beat Slovenia in 2 opportunities for the World Cup). The talent is there (we have great young players, look at the performance of the U21), the problem has been professionalism and organization. I think that the hiring of Djukic and the present clean-up of the FA is a step in the right direction.

The Montenegrin team is better, if we have a game, we'll beat you, just like we've beat you in so many other sports(Rukomet, Waterpolo)

Apart from Vidic and Ivanovic, i honestly cant see what Serbia has to shout about, Zigic has become a bit part player and Stankovic as never played well for Serbia. Montenegro on the other hand suffers in the opposite way, we have a wealth of attacking options but at the back defensivley Montenegro is terrible, it would be a dream to have Vidic and Ivanovic at the back.

If Serbia and Montenegro were still together it would remind me of The FR Jugoslavija teams of the 90s........... Great Defence and Midfield full of Serbs.....then a "Kaka-esque" Montenegrin midfield/striker along with a poacher. Savicevic-Mijatovic : Vukcevic-Vucinic

It is really easy to criticize a team like Serbia which is continuously exposed to pressure and competes for all the major tournaments. It is also easy to hype up players on a Montenegrin team that has no chance of qualifying for anything.
Try to put aside your nationalism and be objective for a second.
I mean, Mirko Vucinic is the only guy on the Montenegrin team who could make the Serbia squad (and he would have a tough job being a starter). You can criticize Lazovic, Pantelic and Zigic all you want. But, Lazovic was one of the top goal scorers in the Dutch league in 2006/2007. He is now a top striker with powerhouse PSV. Nikola Zigic has struggled with injuries recently, but the guy was worth 20 million euro's to Valencia for a reason. I don't like Marko Pantelic as a player, but he has been at the top of the goal-scoring lists in Bundesliga for 2 years in a row now. Vucinic would really have a hard time being a starter above those players.
At midfield you have Stankovic. He doesn't seem to play well for Serbia. But that's only because he is surrounded by such unbelievable talent in Inter. Nevertheless, Deki Stankovic is a household name, a genuine star and elite-level midfielder. Jankovic, Kuzmanovic and Krasic are such promising young players. They have all received much more accolades than Vukcevic. It would be impossible for any coach to play him instead of those 3.
The defense and goalkeepers speak for themselves. Be realistic Deki. You can love and support Montenegro all you want. But be objective when it comes to the game of football, don't be blinded by nationalism.
