Geographically speaking, it is a part of Anatolia peninsula, not a part of Europe or Greece. Naturally, Cyprus has always been the homeland of Anatolian peoples, not the land of some settlers from Europe.

what bullshit.
Its culturally Greek and pre-Greek.
Then Ottomans came over and brought its settlers.Thats Turkey's only claim to it!
And since nearly all Anatolian Christian Greeks were made to leave Anatolia and that the Greeks lost much of their ancestral land,I think its fair to kick every single Turk out of Cyrpus for fair game. After all,the Turks got away with too much in the end, with north Cyprus, western Armenia, southeast Anatolia of Kurds.
You only got away because of your military prowess! Not brains!

There is no Greek culture in Cyprus.
It is rather a mixture of Roman, Ottoman and east Mediterranean culture.

It is the truth Basil. Greeks of Cyprus are more related to the Africans and Middle Eastern peoples.

Jan
DO not confuse yourself. Many body features - wrongly attributed only to africans - that to non gifted men as turks would appear as a third leg, are quite common in Greeks of Cyprus.
That can also explain many things: the alleged ill treatment of the tc that led to the turkish intervention was because of the third legs the rage of the turkish military in Cyprus (complexes can really boost you) some female members here promoting separation of the island (afraid of the third leg) all the male members here making wrong statements (frustration is a bad consul)
and last but not least: the tc laughing all the way to the bank find the time to write sth in this forum. they are still running from the third leg. or even if not runing they cannot sit down. it is painfull.

Do you despise the idea of having African, Arab or Romani blood? You think, something is wrong with that?

Jan likes to bust balls once in a while... i dont think he is that uneducated... meanwhile...nothing wrong with having different blood. Hell, Im half polish myself. Odds are that most ppl in modern turkey are more mixed than ever before, so they are used to it. They have nothing in common with countries like turkmenistan, kazakstan, kyrgizstan...whereas if you compare a cypriot, macedonian, cretan, and or pelloponesean with a turk from constantinople you can clearly see who is mixed in the group ;D
