It was my impression that most Croats spoke Italian. (I may be wrong!!) Is my favorite text of one song and is beautiful only if understood. Same song is posted in Italian forum. Simply wanted to share. Seems Albanians speak lots more Italian than Croats Why didn't I posted in Albanian forum? I thought Albanians of diaspora didn't know Italian!!! I was wrong...right Toskali?

LOL! I still don't understand why you would presume that most Croats spoke Italian. Meh, I guess it was just one of those things. I have a friend that thinks all Croats can speak German.

When I was in Croatia I was able to communicate quite well using Italian. Pretty much everyone I met spoke it.

Theres nothing like a dose of Americanism to destroy the multilingual in you. Nah, I lost my Italian skills a long while back. When I first entered the US I could speak Italian and was picking up some Greek lowly. Now its all gone, I only retained minor reading skills.
But somethings stay with you....
I assume most Croats in Zagreb learn German?

^ Maybe 60-100 years ago, not anymore. Now English is in. Russian was the main focus in the Cold War Era lol.
