Russian deputies reactivated the old idea for admission of Serbia into the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the Collective Security Treaty Organization of the former Soviet Republics. By this initiative, Moscow offers Belgrade an alternative for membership in the European Union, advocated by the pro-Western President Boris Tadic. This initiative will be reviewed if Serbia faces increasing isolation by the European countries and the international community in terms of recognition of Kosovo, "Izvestija" daily quotes Viktor Ozerov, the Russian Defense and Security Committee Chairman, as saying. Russian newspapers write that the attempt to include Serbia into CIS is likely to be blocked by certain former Soviet Republics. The idea of Serbia's allegiance with one of the international organizations that were formed after disintegration of the Soviet Union is not a new one, writes Moscow's daily "Vzgled". As early as in 1999, the Assembly of the former SR Yugoslavia adopted a resolution for accession to the Russia-Belarus Alliance. The Russian Parliament supported the proposal and recommended to the then President Boris Yeltsin and the Government to launch preparations for this process as soon as possible. However, the whole matter ended up on paper. "I don't know how could the issue of Serbia's accession to CIS be resolved, since Georgia and Ukraine are its members, but the perspectives for the Collective Security Treaty Organization are solid," Ozerov said. The members of the Collective Security Treaty Organization are Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. /end/

Cikola calm down, Serbia would have decency and integrity and pride and kosovo and RS and yet the western pussies would still want "relations". While Croatia unfortunately would have to swim with the sharks around her (slovenija, austria, etc..)

I really am inclined to support this, While the bootlicker can laugh all he likes it is clearly evident that Croatia has had to bend on fishing rights....they gave that up without much of a fight what else will they give up it aint going to be that funny when the young of Croatia are made to go and fight the US's wars it aint going to be so funny when the labour force works for pittance so the fat cats in Germany can offer tax relief to there people and so on and so on

Unfortunatly, the EU is the US's puppet. We have no backbone yet and let the americans make the calls for the serious issues. Not to mention the UK which is US's lapdog.
Not a bad proposition if you ask me...

At this point in time, there is no other alternative other than moving closer to Russia, militarily and economically. Kosovo is looming as the new Vietnam. With Bush now sending weapons to the region a war is just a matter of time. If Bush is only going to use the KLA as his fighting force, then they have already lost.
Expect Serbia to be given the latest weapons systems from the Russians shortly and I wouldn't be surptised if some speacial forces of the Serbian army aren't already in Kosovo, just waiting for the right moment. Unfortunatly, there will now be bloodshed on a large scale, this time, its for keeps.

Ahhh, Those immoral satans would push till they achieve war. If greatest autonomy was granted then everybody would be happy, serbs with their kosovo and albs having their flag and their kick-boxing ( ;D) national teams. But now....
Anyway, in the end NATO will be fighting against albanian "terrorists", wait and see.

Lmao Fender. If KLA did rise again and was armed by USA as their own soldiers, trust me. Not even Russia would have been able to stop us, not even if we wanted to kill every serb up to vojvodina.
How ever, we're not like you. We tolerate until you cross the line, then we slit your throats.

Who was able to stop the KLA? I think it was the Serbs. Though now with all the purges committed by the new regime, I wonder if we have enough leadership to send the devils back to hell where they belong.

Personally I'd like Serbia to be involved in the SCO (Shanghai co-operative Organization) since in addition to Russia it includes China and India among others. Blue states are full emmbers. Green states are observers.

There is only one planet in the CIS everyone else is a satelite. Unlike CIS, at least Serbia doesn’t have to tolerate foreign troops within its soil like it would if it joined NATO or the EU.
