Report: Envoy Warns Russia Could Use Force Over Kosovo -AFP
MOSCOW (AFP)--Russia could resort to "brute force" if NATO or the European Union defy the U.N. on Kosovo, Moscow's envoy to the military alliance said Friday, Interfax news agency reported.
"If the European Union works out a common position, or if NATO breaches its mandate in Kosovo, these organizations will be in conflict with the United Nations," Dmitry Rogozin said in a video link-up from Brussels.
"We too will have to proceed from the view that in order to be respected we must use brute force, in other words armed force."

To all those that said Russia will bow down to the one and only superpower, the egg must look funny on your collective faces.

They thought they would be in total control with these illegal declerations, now they have the Russian Bear up their exhaust pipe. Trust me on this, there will be a war unless the US backs down, which they might as they are stretched to breaking point, like the British are. They are in a pickle.

Russia comfront the West. Hahaha. I dont think so. Russia's military isnt much of a match for the US's might. Not to mention NATO's. The Russians got what they wanted ie. Serbia's oil industry and once all was signed they issued a statement in Slovenia at a EU meeting that they would not sanction any country which recognised Kosova. Huge backdown dont u think.

"that they would not sanction any country which recognised Kosova"
Your "West" is very divided my friend. The one they all have in common is greed. But the free ppl of USA, UK, Germany all want a world based on self respect and tolerance. They disagree with their politicians but they are helpless. So your "West" is 100-200 persons max.

Your off track in a significant way. The force that the Russians are talking about will be applied in Kosovo only. The Russians don't need to "invade" other countries as your trying to suggest. They now possess a military structure that every country is extremely envious of. Most of their military infrastructre has been replaced with new and updated equipment, including weaponary from every classification. They like the Americans need to test said equipment in combat situation, since Chechnya has been pounded into submission.

How much does the US spend on its military annually compared to that of Russia? Envious? Maybe of the US, but Russia hardly.

If Croatia had just 1% of what Russia has, it would have a much bigger and a more modern army than what they have now. Just 1%. As far as the US is concerned, the direct war between them would be fought with Nuclear, not conventional weapons. Since Russia and the US have enough to blow the whole world 40 times over, each, it leaves your argument a little lame at best.

I feel like I'm talking to a brick wall, why would Russia want to attack Croatia, can give me at least one decent reason why that would happen. The two countries trade, Croatia buys some of its military hardware from Russia. Your not making any sense.

Considering that Croatia is about to enter NATO, its army increases 26-fold ... Croatia and the other member countries are considered ONE. So the above comment holds no water.

LOL you crack me up. If Russia were to go to war with the ENTIRE NATO group, I'm more than certain nuclear weapons would be the frontline weapons of choice, so let me ask you, do you want Croatia rare, medium or well done.
